P: Suscipe sancte Pater P: Receive, O Holy Father,
omnipotens aeterne Deus, hanc almighty and eternal God,
immaculatam hostiam, quam ego this spotless host, which I,
indignus famulus tuus offero Thine unworthy servant, offer
tibi Deo meo vivo et vero, unto Thee, my living and true
pro innumerabilibus peccatis God, for my countless sins,
et offensionibus et trespasses, and omissions;
negligentiis meis, et pro likewise for all here present,
omnibus circumstantibus, sed and for all faithful
et pro omnibus fidelibus Christians, whether living or
Christianis vivis atque dead, that it may avail both
defunctis: ut mihi et illis me and them to salvation,
proficiat ad salutem in vitam unto life everlasting. Amen.

•The priest goes to the Epistle side and pours wine and water into the Chalice.

OFFERING OF THE CHALICE
•At the middle of the altar, the priest says:
P: Offerimus tibi Domine, P: We offer unto Thee, O
calicem salutaris, tuam Lord, the chalice of
deprecantes clementiam: ut in salvation, beseeching Thy
conspectu divinae majestatis clemency that it may ascend as
tuae, pro nostra et totius a sweet odor before Thy divine
mundi salute cum odore majesty, for our own
suavitatis ascendat. Amen. salvation, and for that of
the whole world. Amen.
P: In spiritu humilitatis, P: Humbled in mind, and
et in animo contrito contrite of heart, may we
suscipiamur a te Domine: et find favor with Thee, O Lord;
sic fiat sacrificium nostrum and may the sacrifice we this
in conspectu tuo hodie, ut day offer up be well pleasing
placeat tibi Domine Deus. to Thee, Who art our Lord and
