And the whole people answering, said: His blood be upon us and our children.

I have a proposal for you, my esteemed friends here on AQ. What if each one of us commits to having one traditional Mass per month said for the Jews? If there are one hundred of us here, then that would amount to one hundred Masses per month.

Look at the above quote from Scripture. It is an infallible and eternal reality. We can be certain, with the certitude of supernatural faith, the God loves the Jews with an unsearchable, eternal love, which not even their unfaithfulness could erase. Jesus Christ died for every man that comes into this world; and He continues to seek the salvation of every soul.

Whenever Holy Mass is said for the conversion of the Jews, His Blood is actually poured out upon them, but not according to their original intention. In the Holy Mass it is poured out in atonement for sins and for a cleansing of the old man. This is the atoning Blood of the new and everlasting covenant, acceptable to God as were the gifts of the just Abel and the High Priest, Melchisedech, a holy sacrifice, a spotless Victim.

We have access to this Blood for ourselves, but even still a power is given to us to beseech and petition the Heavenly Father, through the Holy Mass, to accept the healing Blood of His dearly beloved Son, as a sweet propitiation, on behalf of those souls who still do not know Him or confess Him. No matter how the Good Friday prayer is worded, it asks God to soften hearts, and take away scales from eyes, and bring into the Kingdom of Heaven all those who still abide in the darkness of ignorance and under the shadow of death.

We have the power to commission traditional Catholic priests to offer this Blood to the Father with the intention of bringing the Jewish people into the light of faith. I have already made this resolution for myself. I invite all of you to join with me in this spiritual act of mercy, in order that we might storm heaven for these souls, precious in the sight of God. Methinks now is the time. God Bless.

What a tremendously timely suggestion.

Please count me in immediately.

cantatedomino,
Thank you for this. I attended an SSPX chapel today (my first time!) for the Feast of the Purification. While there I requested a Mass for the conversion of Jews. If you are keeping count, you can add that one.

Thank you so much. I am deeply disappointed that so few of our confreres are interested in this.

BTW, wasn't the Candlemas service exquisite?

I am interested in this. I was received into the Church by a priest who is a convert from Judaism.

This I will gladly do!

Is there a teaching that the Jews must or will convert to the Faith before the end of the world?

Nana

P.S. Wow, Jane, you moved fast! Congratulations!

Nana,
The priest mentioned this teaching when I was requesting the Mass from him.

Just to be clear about my attendance at Mass, it was a gesture of my desire for reconciliation rather than a move toward the views of the SSPX. Though I have found much to agree with in what I have read so far, I still have major points of disagreement.

(And don't worry about the spelling of my name.)

I took my time, too.
I certainly will continue to pray for your peace.

Today is First Saturday. I arranged for three Masses to be said for the conversion of the Jews. I will follow this procedure each First Saturday from here on in.

In November's CFN there is something interesting.

Our Lord Jesus to Sister Lucia [who asked Him why the Five First Saturdays]:

My daughter, the reason is simple. There are five types of offenses and blasphemies committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary:

Blasphemies against the Immaculate Conception.

Blasphemies against Her Perpetual virginity.

Blasphemies against Her Divine Maternity, in refusing at the same time to recognize Her as the Mother of men.

The blasphemies of those who seek to sow in the hearts of children indifference or scorn or even hatred of this Immaculate Mother.

The offenses of those who outrage Her directly in Her Holy Images.

COMMENT by CFN: It must be noted that these blasphemies come from both atheists AND the tenets of non-Catholic religions.

Therefore, I bttt this thread and now add the suggestion that we offer our five First Saturdays for the intention of making reparation to the Immaculate Mother of God for the offenses of those who hate Her and Our Lord Jesus Christ, and especially for the conversion of the Jews.
