New chair of US bishops' National Review Board is Obama donor
Catholic World News

Cardinal Francis George, president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, has appointed Diane Knight, retired executive director of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, as the new chair of the National Review Board. Knight has been a member of the National Review Board since 2007.
Knight holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. A former member of the Code of Ethics Task Force of Catholic Charities USA, Knight serves on the Archdiocese of Milwaukee’s Community Advisory Board, which advises the archbishop and the archdiocesan victim assistance coordinator.
As Catholic World News reported in 2007, Knight donated $200 to the Democratic National Committee in 2005. According to the Huffington Post’s FundRace 2008, Knight donated $284 to President-elect Barack Obama’s campaign during the third quarter of 2008.
Knight will succeed Judge Michael Merz, whose term as chair began in 2007 and expires in June. His tenure, according to Cardinal George, was marked by an “excellent and collaborative manner.” Previous chairmen include former Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating (2002-3); Nicholas Cafardi (2004-5), dean of the Duquesne University Law School; and Patricia O’Donnell Ewers (2005-7), former president of Pace University. Illinois Justice Anne Burke served as interim chair after the resignation of Governor Keating.
The US bishops established the National Review Board at their 2002 Dallas meeting. Its purpose, according to its Web site, is “to collaborate with the USCCB in preventing the sexual abuse of minors in the United States by persons in the service of the Church.” |

This is the problem with the networking that goes on at the national level in official Catholic circles: the appointees are not Catholics. What do we know about the diocese of Milwaukee? What has that been the center of for decades??? How would someone get to be a major player in such a cesspool of progressive liberal modernism and heresy? And what do we know about fake Catholics who support abortion and pro-abortion candidates?
The bare minimum for ANY leadership position of ANY Catholic organization or institution is that the person be a believing and faithful Catholic with common sense, reason, and mature prudential judgment. Pro-abortionism disqualifies. This is more of the same: Stockholm Syndrome, Catholics held hostage by charlatans, liberal modernists, and heretics. |

It's not that easy to find Catholics in what passes for the Catholic Church these days, unfortunately. |

They are so used to making excuses for liberals and pro-abortion heretics, they don't even think about it anymore. But this is a disgrace.
Obama supports abortion on demand, global abortion funding, embryonic stem cell research, and has appointed Michael Schiavo's pro-death lawyer who just couldn't have Terri killed fast enough.
You have someone who thinks ALL of that is OK on a lay Catholic "advisory board"? |

I dunno. The bishops very own "Catholic Campaign for Human Development" gave ACORN $1 million that was spent getting Obama and other Dems elected. At least DK put up her own $284. The bishops gave Obama cash extracted from the poor slobs in the pews to "help the poor." _________________ Adrian, how did everything that was so good get so bad? |

That symbol looks just like the addition to the Pope's Coat of Arms. It can be found at the bottom edge. I can't find out anywhere what that thing means. Does anybody know? The half moon cycel........... _________________ I have dipt my wings in Truths' emerald spray.... |
