Novena for Feast of the Circumcision Dec 23- 31

Most Bountiful God, I sincerely and humbly thank Thee for all of Thy many benefits to me during the past year, and for the privilege of beginning a new year. Do Thou mercifully continue Thy gracious help and protection, so that I may not only spend this coming year in Thy service, but also may increase from day to day in fervor and in the performance of good works. May all my thoughts, words and actions be for Thy greater honor and glory, for my own sanctification and for the good of souls. These favors I ask from Thy goodness through the merits of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Who for our salvation first shed His Precious Blood on this day. Amen read more

Immaculate Conception Novena Nov. 29- Dec.7

because thou was destined to become not only the Mother of God,
but also the mother, the refuge, and the advocate of man;
penetrated, therefore, with the most lively confidence in thy never-failing intercession,
we most humbly implore thee to look with favor upon the intentions of this novena,
and to obtain for us the graces and favors we request.

Miraculous Medal Novena Nov. 18-26

O Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of Our Lord Jesus and our Mother, penetrated with the most lively confidence in thy all-powerful and never-failing intercession, manifested so often through the Miraculous Medal, we thy loving and trustful children implore Thee to obtain for us the graces and favors we ask during this Novena, if they be beneficial to our immortal souls, and the souls for whom we pray.

[Here privately form your petitions.]

Thou knows, O Mary, how often our souls have been the sanctuaries of thy Son, Who hates iniquity. Obtain for us then a deep hatred of sin and that purity of heart which will attach us to God alone so that our every thought, word and deed may tend to His greater glory. Obtain for us also a spirit of prayer and self-denial that we may recover by penance what we have lost by sin and at length attain to that blessed abode where thou art the Queen of Angels and of men. Amen.

Nov. 1-30…Daily Thoughts and Prayers for Our Beloved Dead

www.salvemariaregina.info/Prayers/PoorSouls.html

Daily Thoughts and Prayers for Our Beloved Dead
for November — Month of the Poor Souls

Lauds for the Dead

“Have pity on me, have pity on me, at least you my friends, for the hand of the Lord hath touched me.” (Job 19:21)

“When we love, we remember; and this memory, the effect of love, is not a barren thought. It resolves itself into DEEDS for the loved one. Why, when sorrow is united with faith, should not our sad memories resolve themselves into sentiments sweet and precious to the soul? To recall the features, the accents, the manners and the sentiments of the loved one is still to hear him, to see him, to touch him, and to associate him with the joys and sorrows which he formerly shared.” (Gergeres) read more

Feast of All Saints novena Oct 23-31

Feast Day November 1st.

O my heavenly brothers and sisters, from those most renowned to those of greatest obscurity,
I come before thee now in all humility and commend myself, and all who are dear to me, to thine intercession.
Pray for us always, that we may awake each day with a burning desire for the Lord whose face thou dost behold, that we will maintain an intimate personal relationship with Jesus, our Savior and Head,
and that we will not hesitate to proclaim God’s greatness to others, and love them as the Lord loves us.
As thou offerest thy continual praise before the throne of God, I raise my heart to thee now to implore thy powerful intercession for these special needs:
(mention them).
I am confident that thy prayers on our behalf will be graciously heard by our loving and merciful Lord.
By his grace, may we someday join thee in the glory of the Father’s house. read more

Novena for the Holy Souls in Purgatory Oct.24-Nov.1

O most gentle Heart of Jesus, ever present in the Blessed Sacrament,
ever consumed with burning love for the poor captive souls in Purgatory,
have mercy on the souls of Thy departed servants.
Be not severe in Thy judgments,
but let some drops of Thy Precious Blood fall upon the devouring flames.
And do Thou, O merciful Savior,
send Thy holy angels to conduct them to a place of refreshment, light and peace. Amen.

O most compassionate Jesus, have mercy on the souls detained in Purgatory,
for whose redemption Thou didst take upon Thyself our nature and endure a bitter death.
Mercifully hear their sighs, look with pity upon the tears which they now shed before Thee,
and by virtue of Thy Passion, release them from the pains due to their sins. read more

Novena to Christ the King Oct. 20-28

Feast Day Oct.29.
.
Oh JESUS, Thou didst declare that Thy Kingdom is upon the earth,
but not of the earth; it is a spiritual, supernatural Kingdom, the Kingdom of truth.

It fights with the power of conviction, and conquers by this means the hearts that by right belong to it.

Thou Thyself art witness to this truth, and Thou Thyself art the Truth.
Oh Jesus, I believe that Thou art truly a King
because Thou hast come into the world to institute among people the rule of God;
every person who is of the truth, who believes in God and recognizes His authority in human affairs,
owes Thee a loyal and undivided allegiance and “hears Thy voice.” read more
