July month of the “Most Precious Blood”

Blood of Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to Thee with humble trust saying
Blood of Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations, Blood of Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles and sorrows,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good come from my efforts,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Thy grace alone can assist me,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Thy tender love as my Father and Savior,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and I am lonely,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
Always, always in spite of weakness, falls and shortcomings, of every kind,
Blood of Jesus, help me and never forsake me. read more

Precious Blood of Jesus novena, June 22-30.

Novena to the Precious Blood

Holy and Eternal Father, behold, I present myself before Thee,
begging Thee to listen favorably to the supplication
I most humbly address to Thy Divine Majesty.
It is not in my name I pray, but in the name of Jesus Whom I have offended,
and Who pardons me mercifully.
I substitute Him in my place. It is His Divine Blood which I present to Thee,
O God of goodness, repeating a thousand times from the depth of my heart:
Jesus Crucified is my reparation, I offer Him to Thee;
Jesus Crucified is my Victim, my Holocaust, my Host, I offer Him to Thee;
Jesus Crucified is my tender solicitude for sinners
and my sorrow for their offences and my own, I offer Him to Thee;
Jesus Crucified is my prayer as His Blood is my voice,
I offer Him to Thee;
Jesus Crucified is my faith, my hope and my love, I offer Him to Thee;
Jesus Crucified is my adoration, I offer Him to Thee;
Jesus Crucified is my zeal for Thy glory and for that of His Precious Blood,I offer Him to Thee;
Jesus Crucified is my surety,as His Blood is payment of all my debt, I offer Him to Thee. read more

Our Lady of Perpetual Help novena June 18-26

SAY EACH OF THE THREE PRAYERS LISTED BELOW FOLLOWED BY THREE AVES EACH DAY FOR 9 NINE DAYS.

NOVENA PRAYER

Behold at thy feet, O Mother of Perpetual Help, a wretched sinner who has recourse to thee and confides in thee. O Mother of mercy, have pity on me. I hear thee called by all the refuge and the hope of sinners: be then, my refuge and my hope. Assist me, for the love of Jesus Christ; stretch forth thy hand to a miserable fallen creature who recommends himself to thee, and who devotes himself to thy service for ever. I bless and thank Almighty God, who in His mercy has given me this confidence in thee, which I hold to be a pledge of my eternal salvation. It is true that in the past I have miserably fallen into sin, because I had not recourse to thee. I know that, with thy help, I shall conquer. I know, too, that thou wilt assist me, if I recommend myself to thee; but I fear that, in time of danger, I may neglect to call on thee, and thus lose my soul. This grace, then, I ask of thee, and this I beg, with all the fervor of my soul, that in all the attacks of hell I may ever have recourse to thee. O Mary, help me. O Mother of Perpetual Help, never suffer me to lose my God.—3 Hail Marys. read more

Feast of Corpus Christi novena June 6-14

With that profound humility which the Faith itself inspires in me, O My God and Savior Jesus Christ, true God and true man, I love Thee with all my heart and I adore Thee Who art hidden here, in reparation for all the irreverence, profanations and sacrileges which Thou receives in the most adorable Sacrament of the Altar.

I adore Thee, O My God, if not so much as Thou art worthy to be adored nor so much as I am bound to do, yet as much as I am able; would that I could adore Thee with that perfect worship which the Angels in Heaven are enabled to offer Thee. May Thou, O My Jesus, be known, adored, loved and thanked by all men at every moment in this most holy and divine Sacrament. Amen read more

Novena to Saint Rita, May 13-21

O holy patroness of those in need, St. Rita,
whose pleadings before thy Divine Lord are almost irresistible,
who for thy lavishness in granting favors has been called the Advocate of the Hopeless
and even of the Impossible.
St. Rita, so humble, so pure, so mortified,
so patient and of such compassionate love for thy Crucified Jesus
that thou could obtain from Him whatever thy asked,
on account of which all confidently have recourse to thee,
expecting, if not relief, at least comfort.
Be propitious to our petition, showing thy power with God on behalf of thy suppliant.
Please be generous with us, as thou has been in so many wonderful cases,
for the greater glory of God, for the spreading of devotion to thee,
and for the consolation of those who trust in thee.
We promise, if our petition is granted, to glorify thee by making known thy favor,
to bless and sing thy praises forever.
Relying on thy merits and power before the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we pray read more

NOVENA TO OUR LADY, HELP OF CHRISTIANS

MOST holy and immaculate Virgin Mary, our most tender Mother and powerful Help of Christians,
we dedicate ourselves entirely to thy sweet love and holy service.

Our Lady of Fatima novena May 4-12

NOVENA PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF FATIMA

Most Holy Virgin, who deigned to come to Fatima
to reveal to the three little shepherds the treasures
of graces hidden in the recitation of the Rosary,
inspire our hearts with a sincere love of this devotion,
so that by meditating on the mysteries of our redemption that are recalled in it,
we may gather the fruits and obtain the conversion of sinners,
the conversion of Russia and this favor which I so earnestly seek
(mention request)
which I ask of thee in this novena, for the greater Glory of God,
for thine own honor and for the good of all people.
Amen

May dedicated to Our Lady

Our Lady of Fatima
We celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Fatima on May 13th. On this day in 1917, Our Lady made her first appearance to three shepherd children, Jacinta (age 7), Francisco (age 9) and Lucia (age 10), at Fatima in Portugal. She appeared to them once a month from May through October. The lives of the three children of Fatima were entirely transformed by the heavenly apparitions. While fulfilling the duties of their state with the greatest fidelity, those children seemed now to live only for prayer and sacrifice, which they offered in a spirit of reparation to obtain peace and the conversion of sinners. They deprived themselves of water during the periods of great heat; they gave their lunch to poor children; they wore around their waists thick cords that even drew blood; they abstained from innocent pleasures and urged one another to the practice of prayer and penance with an ardor comparable to that of the great saints. read more

Novena to Saint Monica April 25-May 3

O exemplary mother of the great St. Augustine, you perseveringly pursued your wayward son,
not with wild threats but with prayerful cries to Heaven.
Intercede for all mothers today, that they may learn to draw their children to God.
Teach them to remain close to their children, even the prodigal sons and daughters who have sadly gone astray.

Dear St. Monica, troubled wife and mother, many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime,
yet you never despaired or lost faith.
With confidence, persistence and profound faith, you obtained the conversions
of your beloved husband Patricius and your beloved son, Augustine. read more

Novena to Saint Joseph the workman April 22-30

(State your intentions here)

O Glorious St. Joseph, model of all those who are devoted to labor,
obtain the grace for me to work conscientiously,
putting the call of duty above my natural inclinations;
to work with gratitude and joy, in a spirit of penance for the remission of my sins,
considering it an honor to develop by means of labor the gifts received from God;
to work with order, peace, moderation and patience,
without ever shrinking from weariness and difficulties;
to work above all with purity of intention and detachment from self,
having always death before my eyes and the account I must render of time lost,
of talents wasted, of good omitted, of vain complacency in success, so fatal to the work of God. read more

Novena to Our Lady of Good Counsel April 17-25

O Holy Virgin, moved by the painful uncertainty we experience in choosing the true and the good,
we cast ourselves at thy feet and invoke thee under the sweet title of Our Lady of Good Counsel.

We beseech thee: come to our aid at this moment in our worldly sojourn when the twin darkness-es
of error and evil plot our ruin by leading minds and hearts astray.

O Seat of Wisdom and Star of the Sea, enlighten the victims of doubt and of error
so that they might not be seduced by evil masquerading as good;
strengthen them against the hostile and corrupting forces of passion and sin. read more
