Novena to the Holy Guardian Angels Sept. 23-Oct. 1

O Holy Angel, whom God, by the effect of His goodness and His tender regard for my spiritual welfare,
has charged with the care of my conduct,
and who assists me in all my wants and comforts me in all my afflictions,
who supports me when I am discouraged and continually obtains for me new favors,
I return thee profound thanks, and I earnestly beseech thee,
O most amiable Protector, to continue thy charitable care and defense of me against the
malignant attacks of all my enemies.
Keep me away from all occasions of sin.
Obtain for me the grace of listening attentively to thy holy inspirations and of faithfully
putting them into practice.
In particular, I implore thee to obtain for me the favor which I ask for by this novena. read more

Our Lady of the Holy Rosary novena Sept 28-Oct 6

O QUEEN of the most holy Rosary, in these times
of brazen impiety, show again thy power, with the
signs which accompanied thy victories of old, and from

grace, in pity watch over the Church of thy Son, His
Vicar, and every order of the clergy and laity, suffering
in grievous warfare.

Hasten, O most powerful destroyer of heresy, hasten the hour of mercy,
seeing that the hour of judgment is daily challenged by innumerable offenses.

and reign with the just in heaven,
whilst with the faithful throughout the world, read more

Novena Our Lady of LaSalette Sept 10-18

Remember, Our Lady of LaSalette, true Mother of Sorrows, the tears which thou did shed for me on Calvary.
Be mindful also of the unceasing care which thou does exercise to screen me from the Justice of God,
and consider whether thou can now abandon thy child, for whom thou hast done so much.

Inspired by this consoling thought, I come to cast myself at thy feet,
in spite of my infidelities and ingratitude.

(mention your request here:)

Our Lady of Sorrows novena Sept 6-14

MOST BLESSED and afflicted Virgin, Queen of Martyrs, who didst stand generously beneath the cross, beholding the agony of thy dying Son; by the sword of sorrow which then pierced thy soul, by the sufferings of thy sorrowful life, by the unutterable joy which now more than repays thee for them; look down with a mother’s pity and tenderness, as I kneel before thee to compassionate thy sorrows, and to lay my petition with childlike confidence in thy wounded heart. I beg of thee, O my Mother, to plead continually for me with thy Son, since He can refuse thee nothing, and through the merits of His most sacred Passion and Death, together with thy own sufferings at the foot of the cross, so to touch His Sacred Heart, that I may obtain my request, read more

Novena “In honor of the Holy Name of Mary” Sept. 3-11

O Great Mother of God and my Mother Mary, it is true that I am unworthy to salute thee, but thou who loves me and desires my salvation must, not withstanding the impurity of my tongue, grant that I may always invoke thy most holy and powerful name in my aid, for thy name is the succor of the living and the salvation of the dying. Ah, most pure Mary, most sweet Mary, grant that henceforth thy name may be the breath of my life. O Lady, delay not to help me when I invoke thee, for in all the temptations that assail me, and in all my wants, I will never cease calling on thee and repeating again and again, Mary, Mary. Thus it is that I hope to act during my life and more particularly at death, that after that last struggle I may eternally praise thy beloved name in Heaven, O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. read more

Portiuncula Indulgence. August 2.

”The Portiuncula was an old church dedicated to the Virgin Mother of God which was abandoned. Francis had great devotion to the Queen of the world and when he saw that the church was deserted, he began to live there constantly in order to repair it. He heard that the Angels often visited it, so that it was called Saint Mary of the Angels, and he decided to stay there permanently out of reverence for the angels and love for the Mother of Christ.

He loved this spot more than any other in the world. It was here he began his religious life in a very small way; it is here he came to a happy end. When he was dying, he commended this spot above all others to the friars, because it was most dear to the Blessed Virgin. read more
