Ohio Bill Bans All Abortions, Declares Unborn Babies as People Under Law

A new bill in the Ohio legislature would ban all abortions in the state by recognizing unborn babies as people protected under the law.

Sponsored by state Reps. Ron Hood and Nino Vitale, Ohio House Bill 565 would prohibit all abortions in Ohio, ABC 6 News reports.

“The goal of this bill is to first of all continue to get the word out that life does begin at conception and move the debate in that direction, and to protect unborn Ohioans from being aborted,” Hood said, according to The Hill. read more

Google and Facebook Censor Pro-Life Free Speech Ahead of Ireland Vote to Legalize Abortion

Dave Andrusko May 9, 2018 | 3:05PM Dublin, Ireland

This has been coming on in Ireland for months, really since the outlines of the wording for the May 25 referendum to gut protections for unborn children were released. Simon Harris, the Minister of Health, and others, committed to overturning the 8th Amendment that guarantees equal rights for unborn children, began to darkly hint that pro-lifers would be saying things that the government doesn’t want said—and that can’t be allowed. read more

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds Signs Nation’s Most Restrictive Abortion Ban

Posted at 5:03 pm on May 4, 2018 by Kimberly Ross

On Friday, Governor Kim Reynolds of Iowa signed the country’s most restrictive abortion ban into law. It is known as the fetal heartbeat bill. This bans abortion once cardiac activity is detected, which is quite often around the six-week mark.

Of course, this new law will be immediately challenged in court, but the victory and passage through the state legislature says much about grassroots support for life. read more

A Catholic priest from Poland is facing rebuke after calling Pope Francis a “foreign body” in the church and implying the Pope should pass away soon if his views on refugees and non-Christian beliefs don’t change.

“I pray for wisdom for the pope, for his heart to open up to the Holy Spirit. And if he does not do that, I pray for his quick departure to the House of the Father,” Father Edward Staniek said during a homily in Krakow last month, according to an English transcription of his words. read more

Bermuda repeal of gay marriage to stand

Hamilton, Bermuda, Feb 19, 2018 / 01:13 pm (CNA/EWTN News).- The British government has said it will not overrule a Bermudian law passed earlier this month which abolishes same-sex marriage, less than a year after the institution was imposed by a court decision.

Bermuda’s parliament passed a bill in December 2017 which abolished same-sex marriage, and rather allowed both opposite- and same-sex couples to form domestic partnerships. The Domestic Partnership Act was approved by Bermuda Governor John Rankin Feb. 7. read more

A Society Divided Against Itself: SSPX Ranks Must Preserve Internal Unity

Since at least 2011, there seems to be a never-ending stream of reports in the blogosphere and even mainstream media that Bishop Bernard Fellay is poised to sign an agreement with Rome. The most recent wave of alleged capitulation occurred this past summer. Yet here, in the autumn of 2017, Bishop Fellay and the Society of St. Pius X remain in the same canonical posture with Rome. Throughout these years of predicted compromise, a number of priests and faithful have preemptively jumped ship, deciding that a break with the SSPX was necessary before the forecasted compromise occurred. Each time a new individual or group breaks the unity of the Society, such persons claim that Bishop Fellay is walking into a Roman trap – canonical regularization – and they must flee before the trap closes. Rome, they say, wants nothing other than the destruction of the SSPX and the legacy of its founder, and that “regularization” is the bait used to lure the Society into a death trap. read more

George Soros trying to make Ireland Abortion friendly

George Soros caught in illegal scheme to make Ireland abortion-friendly

There are few figures more hated by conservatives and liberty-minded people than George Soros. A liberal billionaire who became a household name after it was revealed that he helped the Nazis during his childhood, Soros has funded some of the most left-wing dirty politics possible — and now, he’s at it again.

It was revealed on Wednesday that Soros is funding yet another left-wing effort – illegally. According to a report from Ireland’s Standards in Public Office Commission (SIPO), Soros’ Open Society Foundation has been bankrolling a campaign to change Ireland’s constitution, which holds a pro-life amendment. read more

The Integrity of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre

The Integrity of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre

Introduction

Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre was well-known, throughout his life, to be a man of great integrity. He was unwavering in his principles, honest in all of his dealings, and charitable to a fault. Among the foundational ideas that guided him were the Catholic notions of authority and obedience, which directed the heroic prudence of the Archbishop in the many difficult decisions he had to make in his relations with Rome.

Certain figures, however, seem to deny that the Archbishop was a man of principled integrity in his ideas about the Church and in his relations with Roman authorities. Some accuse him of having held contradictory principles, while others accuse him of having changed his principles after the episcopal consecrations. read more

Law Professor To Students: If You Say ‘I Feel’ Rather Than ‘I Think,’ You Must Cluck Like A Chicken

A professor of law at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama, has had enough of millennial students who rely on trendy terms so they can deride the wisdom of the ages. Adam MacLeod, associate professor of law at Jones School of Law, wrote an article for The New Boston Post in which he published a speech that warned his first-year law students he would not accept any words ending in “ism.” read more

The Left’s Unhinged Freakout over Trump’s Paris Accord Withdrawal

Celebrities, politicians, and climate activists lost their collective mind in the wake of President Trump’s decision to pull out from the agreement. The fatalistic flip-out over Trump’s plan to exit from the Paris Climate Accord is the latest proof that the leaders of the political Left have learned absolutely nothing since November 8. Unlike Trump, who said during his Rose Garden announcement of the planned withdrawal that he was “elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris,” these woke folks continue to overlook huge swaths of the American public as they try to win a global popularity contest, redistribute our wealth, and lecture us about how ignorant, uncaring, and unaware we are. The drumbeat from tone-deaf celebrities, tech titans, bureaucrats, and political hacks began earlier this week on social media when it became clear Trump would finally act to undo one of Barack Obama’s legacy policies. read more

A Voice for the Suffering Church: Trump, Pence, Graham Team up for Christians

A Voice for the Suffering Church

The Trump administration’s commitment to defend persecuted Christians is a “breath of fresh air from God,” Rev. Franklin Graham told CBN News at his World Summit for the Defense of Persecuted Christians.

“No question it’s a breath of fresh air, I think it’s a breath of fresh air from God, because they are listening to God’s people and we didn’t see that under President Obama,” Graham told CBN’s George Thomas in a one-on-one interview. read more
