The Left’s Unhinged Freakout over Trump’s Paris Accord Withdrawal

Celebrities, politicians, and climate activists lost their collective mind in the wake of President Trump’s decision to pull out from the agreement. The fatalistic flip-out over Trump’s plan to exit from the Paris Climate Accord is the latest proof that the leaders of the political Left have learned absolutely nothing since November 8. Unlike Trump, who said during his Rose Garden announcement of the planned withdrawal that he was “elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris,” these woke folks continue to overlook huge swaths of the American public as they try to win a global popularity contest, redistribute our wealth, and lecture us about how ignorant, uncaring, and unaware we are. The drumbeat from tone-deaf celebrities, tech titans, bureaucrats, and political hacks began earlier this week on social media when it became clear Trump would finally act to undo one of Barack Obama’s legacy policies. read more

A Voice for the Suffering Church: Trump, Pence, Graham Team up for Christians

A Voice for the Suffering Church

The Trump administration’s commitment to defend persecuted Christians is a “breath of fresh air from God,” Rev. Franklin Graham told CBN News at his World Summit for the Defense of Persecuted Christians.

“No question it’s a breath of fresh air, I think it’s a breath of fresh air from God, because they are listening to God’s people and we didn’t see that under President Obama,” Graham told CBN’s George Thomas in a one-on-one interview. read more

VICTORY: Court affirms Christian’s right to refuse in good faith to make ‘LGBT Pride’ shirts

May 16, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — The Kentucky Court of Appeals on Friday upheld a previous court victory for a Christian who in 2012 declined to make a t-shirt for the Lexington homosexual “Pride Festival,” saying to do so would violate his faith.

Blaine Adamson’s Lexington-based company, Hands On Originals Christian Outfitters, offers “high quality, customized Christian apparel,” according to its website. read more

Conservative opposition to Pope Francis spurs talk of a schism

Conservative opposition to Pope Francis spurs talk of a schism

Of all the recent attacks launched by conservatives against Pope Francis, one stood out more than most.

It came from a German cardinal who is one of the most powerful men in the Vatican. And it underlined a growing backlash in the church to some of Francis’ more progressive ideas — a backlash led largely by German and American bishops who fear the pope may be overturning centuries of doctrine on divorce, among other matters.

The cardinal, Gerhard Mueller, the pope’s own doctrinal chief, made it clear in an interview in February that he firmly opposed Francis’ tinkering with the church’s ban on divorced and civilly remarried Catholics taking Communion.

Texas House Votes to Defund Planned Parenthood and Send $20 Million to Pregnancy Centers

Micaiah Bilger Apr 7, 2017

The Texas House passed a two-year budget Thursday that would cut off funding to abortion groups and increase support for pregnant and parenting families.

The budget passed in a 131-16 vote, with the two pro-life amendments, and now moves to the state Senate for consideration, according to the Texas Tribune.

Texas lawmakers and pro-life advocates have been working for years to stop taxpayer funding from flowing to abortion groups like Planned Parenthood. The legislature voted in 2015 to prohibit Medicaid funding to abortion groups; however, the measure currently is blocked by a court order. read more

SOS Chretien d’Orient Helps Persecuted Middle-East Faithful

Inspired by participation in France’s La Manif Pour Tous campaign, a group of young French Catholic friends have mobilized a network of 600 volunteers working in several countries.

VATICAN CITY — In 2013, a small group of young French Catholic friends took part in La Manif Pour Tous (March for All), a popular movement that led to millions marching for life and against same-sex “marriage” and adoption.

After the demonstrations ended, they wanted to do more: to help persecuted Christians in the Middle East, not only by giving them material aid, but also living and praying alongside them. read more

Bp. Fellay: There is no imminent recognition- Clarity Needed to Move Forward

Bp. Fellay: Clarity Needed to Move Forward

February 02, 2017
District of the USA

His Excellency explains that before the SSPX accepts a prelature, clarity from Rome is needed regarding errors of Vatican II.

On January 29, Bishop Bernard Fellay gave a 20 minute interview to TVLibertés. The Superior General’s answer on TV about the canonical structure of the Personal Prelature offered to the Society of St. Pius X was short:

We have told Rome, very clearly, that, just as Archbishop Lefebvre used to say in his day, we have a sine qua non condition: if this condition is not met, then we will not move. And this condition is for us to be able to remain as we are, to keep all the principles that have kept us alive, that have kept us Catholic.” read more

Horrible – gpmtrad goes of the deep end ?

Gmptrad; is it another case of I told you so, or a case, I have always wanted to be the one who told you, I told you so? – Either way, I hate to disappoint you again.

I think we have been through this several times here. Same old, “SSPX is going to sell out” – Please give us a break. If the SSPX wanted to sell out it would have done so long ago. If it wanted to sell out, what is it waiting for? Permission from Gmptrad and co?

Gmptrad – Once more, you seem make a mountain out of nothing. – It is clear that what Bp. Fellay has said needs to be understood in the context. What context, the context of the entire history of the SSPX and it’s struggle with the conciliar novelties. read more

URGENT – Bergoglian Persecution Begins: Priest is Suspended a divinis in Colombia for criticizing the new papal doctrine on Marriage and the Eucharist
We will translate the whole document provided by Rorate’s Spanish-language partners “Adelante la Fe” as soon as possible — but the news is explosive. A priest in the Diocese of Pereira, Colombia, was admonished and suspended by his Bishop exclusively because he criticized in public the new doctrine invented by Pope Francis on Marriage and the reception of the Blessed Sacrament. read more

If you approve of bank robbery, you won’t be able to condemn the act of shoplifting candy bars from a convenience store. I mean, you won’t be able to do this if you are to be logically consistent. If you approve of a greater evil, you can’t logically condemn lesser evils of the same genus.

Likewise, if you approve of murder you cannot, if you wish to retain your reputation for logical consistency, condemn assault and battery. read more

Cardinal Zen: Pope’s Potential Deal With Communist China Would Betray Christ

Cardinal Joseph Zen. (AP)

The leading cardinal of the Catholic Church in China, Cardinal Joseph Zen, said the reported deal between the Vatican and China, to allow the Communist regime to pick (or participate in picking) which bishops will lead the Church in that country, is tantamount to “betraying Jesus Christ.” read more
