- Anyone with a status of "contributor" or above can post pictures in comments using HTML image tags.
- Allowed many other HTML tags to be used by contributors and above.
- Commenters can edit their comments up to 30 minutes after posting.
- Moderators have ability to ban users by username.
- External links in posts and comments will boot to a new window.

AQ News Email Subscriptions
If you've had issues with email subscriptions, click "Subscribe via Email" at the top right and re-submit.
After moving the site, the email subscription feed needed to be reworked. In the past at the former site, some of you had issues with getting email updates. Some of you, like myself, may have developed issues after moving to the new site.

Gave editors (moderators Tim, Tom and ECS) more control over content and users.
Installed a WYSIWYG for the comments box so commenters can customize text (bold, italic etc.)
Installed a "preview" function for comments.

Authors: I’ve discovered a FANTASTIC way to lose your posting privileges!
Not sure how anyone, especially here, ever got the bright idea that AQ, the SSPX and/or Holy Church are democracies. None ever were, at any point in time, ever.
For those authors who haven't disabused themselves of this notion, I have first hand info that there are many others who would absolutely love to take your place as an author here.
Hence, if you are feeling charitable and wish to give your author spot to another non-author AQ member, here are a few tips:

IMPORTANT: The ability to create new threads has been closed to new members.
Here's what I wrote to one of our members who was inquiring about emial and IP addresses being available to the person who creates a post:
This is interesting. I thought only I was seeing that info because I'm the admin. I've looked into the matter further.
It turns out that wordpress gives everyone who is an "author" (the default status given when a new user joins) the ability to see that information. The idea is to give every author control over their thread and know who is posting to it.

Still building and getting the bugs out.
Just a heads up in case anyone is wondering why things still get funky every now and then. Still getting the bugs out, adding stuff, taking stuff out etc. Looks like we're well on our way to a new home. Most of the members are telling me that they like they REALLY like the new digs once they get used to it. I didn't at first, but now I'm just loving nearly everything about this.
