Homoclericalism is the common theme running through the current scandal found in the 300-page dossier that names members of the gay lobby, in the 2002 clerical sex abuse scandal and the recent scandal involving former Cdl. Theodore McCarrick — which Abp. Carlo Maria Viganò clarified goes all the way to Pope Francis.

Pope Francis met with representatives of the U.S. bishops on Thursday headed by Cdl. Daniel DiNardo of Galveston-Houston who, last month, advocated, as president of the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops, for an investigation into the “many questions surrounding Archbishop McCarrick.”

The cardinal added, “The recent letter of Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò brings particular focus and urgency to this examination. The questions raised deserve answers that are conclusive and based on evidence.”

The outcome of that meeting hasn’t been fully reported, but looking at the man in charge, it seems doubtful that a full investigation would be authorized. One reason for this doubt is that the subject of the investigation is Pope Francis himself. In his testimony, Abp. Viganò recounts telling the Pope about McCarrick’s homosexual predation of seminarians.
“He corrupted generations of seminarians and priests and Pope Benedict ordered him to withdraw to a life of prayer and penance,” Viganò wrote.
Pope Francis, however, ignored Viganò’s testimony and rehabilitated McCarrick.
Watch the panel discuss the outing of the homosexual network in Friday’s Download—Leaked Vatican Dossier. This week’s topics on The Download include tone-deaf bishops and the hunt for Viganò, among others.

  1. This week’s topics on The Download include tone-deaf bishops and the hunt for Viganò, among others.

Keep repeating “Credo in trecenta page dossier.” Download the podcast. Oh, and send a few bucks.

    All aboard!

    • Hurry! Call 1-888-Benedict for your copy of the dossier. Act now, and we’ll include a copy of Gay Frogs and Seminarians: a Scandal of Estrogen-Laced Wheaties by Alex Jones and George Weigel.

    • Sometimes The Download is free (usually Fridays), and sometimes it isn’t. Because its format is somewhat free-wheeling, some of its topics are re-packaged and published in text-form by one of the regulars. I usually post some of them rather than the original. For the record: I am a skinflint and thus not a subscriber to Church Militant; also, I am critical of its main personality and some of its content but find other of its content interesting enough to post on Angelqueen – especially if I have not yet seen or posted an article on the same topic from elsewhere. To me: “The earlybird gets the worm,” and as St. Thomas Aquinas has said somewhere, “Truth no matter what its source is of the Holy Spirit.”

    • I don’t mean to pick on you, Tom. I just don’t think they have anything — they certainly don’t have anything yet — but that doesn’t slow them down.

This latest article is a riot. Entitled “Leaked Vatican Dossier,” the report has nothing from any dossier. It ends “This week’s topics on The Download include tone-deaf bishops and the hunt for Viganò, among others.” I’ll bet next week’s topic will be “gay frogs,” as they keep stretching it out.
