CATHOLIC VS. KATHOLIC

CATHOLIC VS. KATHOLIC

Catholics challenge Catholics-in-name-only in Senate races

Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.): “I voted for Hillary Clinton. I supported her. They’ve been my
friends; her and Bill have been good friends.”

It’s Catholic vs. Catholic-in-name-only in four key U.S. Senate races.

In the fight to retain their seats on Capitol Hill, incumbent Democrats in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia are portraying themselves as faithful sons of the Church.

But Sen. Joe Donnelly of Indiana supports so-called gay marriage and sides with Planned Parenthood in two out of every three abortion-related votes.

Right to life groups have endorsed his challenger, pro-life Republican Mike Braun.

In Pennsylvania, Sen. Bob Casey Jr. — who claims to be pro-life — has been given a 100 percent positive rating by NARAL Pro-Choice America.

His opponent, Republican Lou Barletta, is supported by National Right to Life.

In Virginia, former Hillary Clinton running mate, Sen. Tim Kaine, backs abortion and gay marriage.

Challenger Corey Stewart has announced he’s “100 percent pro-life.”

Once reliably pro-life West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin has become cozy with Planned Parenthood.

West Virginia Right to Life has endorsed Republican challenger Patrick Morrisey.

Their records are clear. These self-described Catholic Democrats back Planned Parenthood, which kills more than 300,000 American unborn every year.

By working to preserve this intrinsic evil, these four sitting senators are Catholic in name only.
