Please Pray for Father Wagner.

Please Pray for Father Wagner.

Please pray for Priest Administrator, Rev. Michael Wagner. He collapsed during the celebration of the holy sacrifice of the Mass this morning and has been admitted to hospital. He is said to be in grave condition.

We have been asked to tell you that Father is not receiving visitors at this time.

We will update this page as we can. Any additional information is dependent on the wishes of the family and the Vicar for Clergy.

This evening there will be a vigil at Holy Rosary in Tacoma Wa., beginning at 7pm, though the doors of the church are open now if you wish to come and pray.

  1. Praying now. 🙏🙏🙏

  2. Prayer for a Sick Priest, by Fr John Brian
    /
O Lord send Your angels to help our beloved Fr. Michael as You have promised in the Psalm – send angels to charge over us to keep us in our ways, so that we will not even stub our foot against a stone – Your wisdom is beyond our understanding and Your mercy is boundless and Your love never ends. In Your love and Your mercy, deal with Fr. Michael and us according to your gentleness. Send Your healing touch to bring Your servant, Fr. Michael, from this couch of sickness, the bed of suffering – so that he may rise to glorify with us Your Holy Name.
    /
We know you have made our bodies but temporal vehicles. We are grateful for Your mercy, gentleness and love given through him/her and we ask, through Your eternal kindness for those that follow Your ways that give him/her strength and healing of body, mind and soul. As You have taught us: “With God all things are possible” (Mark 10:27). So, we put our hope and trust n You. O Lord let us share tears of joy rather than sorrow about Your continuing work with our beloved Fr. Michael. This we ask of You together with the Father which is from everlasting and the Holy Living Spirit – now and always. Amen. +

  3. Very touching and inspiring prayer, Tom.
    Thank you.

  4. Update on dear Father Wagner.
On Tuesday, April 11, Rev. Michael Wagner, Priest Administrator of Visitation and Holy Rosary Parishes in Tacoma collapsed during the celebration of the holy Mass.

He was admitted to hospital with an irreversible brain hemorrhage.
The doctors have advised his family and the archdiocese that he is unlikely to survive.

Much of his family is with him now. Archbishop Sartain has flown back to Seattle to be with his spiritual son.

Please continue to pray for Father Wagner, for his family, and for his parishes.

There will be a prayer vigil at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening at Visitation Church.

  5. Thank you very much, Patrick and Tom.

  6. Well, I will continue praying despite the lethality of the diagnosis. I’m painfully aware of the eventualities in such cases.
Nevertheless, I’m sure Father did all he could since ordination to prepare for this moment. That is no small consolation.

  7. Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy clemency hear and answer me. Amen.

  8. One of the Priests at my sister’s FSSP Church told the congregation that the Doctor told him that it was humanly impossible for Father to survive. He had a uncontrolled irreversible brain bleed. He is on life support and has a recent infection.
On April 18th Father opened his eyes. How happy his family must of been to realize he saw them and that he knew they were with him.

  12. Update on Father Wagner, April 20, 3:00pm

We are delighted to report that not only is Fr. Wagner continuing to improve, but his leading doctor has noted that 4 out of 6 milestones in this critical stage have been met!

Father Wagner is almost entirely breathing on his own and may (we need to keep praying!) be off the respirator soon. If all continues to go well, he will be able to be transfer out of critical care into a long-term acute care facility.

Please continue to pray for Fr. Michael Wagner, he has a long hard road ahead of him.

Thank you to all and God Bless.

  13. Amazing! Still praying ! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Good Afternoon Family & Friends of Father Wagner,

  18. UPDATE 4/25/2018

Vanessa Marin — 44 minutes ago

Good Afternoon Family & Friends of Father Michael,

Father Michael Wagner is currently in critical condition and is not improving.

The family asks that you continue to pray

  19. Offered last night’s Rosary for him.

  20. Thank you, my dear friends!
It sounds like Father Cooper (SSPX) is not doing very well either.
    Prayer’s for all our priests.

  21. Richard Cardinal Cushing (1895-1970), Archbishop of Boston

O Almighty Eternal God, look upon the face of Thy Son, and for the love of Him who is the eternal High Priest, have pity on Thy priests. Remember, O most compassionate God, that they are but weak and frail human beings. Stir up in them the grace of their vocation which is in them by the imposition of the bishop’s hands. Keep them close to Thee, lest the enemy prevail against them, so that they may never do anything in the slightest degree unworthy of their sublime vocation.

O Jesus, I pray Thee for Thy faithful and fervent priests; for Thy unfaithful and tepid priests; for Thy priests laboring at home or abroad in distant mission fields; for Thy tempted priests; for Thy lonely priests; for Thy dying priests; for the souls of Thy priests in purgatory. But above all I commend to Thee the priests dearest to me; the priest who baptized me; the priests who absolved me from my sins; the priests at whose Masses I assisted, and who gave me Thy Body and Blood in Holy Communion; the priests who taught and instructed me, or helped and encouraged me; all the priests to whom I am indebted in any other way, particularly N. O Jesus, keep them all close to Thy Heart, and bless them abundantly in time and in eternity. Amen.

  22. Fr. Cooper has quite a following, and most deservedly. 🙏🙏🙏

  23. Fr. Cooper may be in his final hours according to the SSPX website.
His kidneys are shutting down. He’s on massive amounts of oxygen so they don’t think he’ll be able to back to the Dickinson TX priory on hospice care.

  24. Many prayers for Father Cooper and Father Wagner.
They removed Father Wagner’s life support on Friday @ 3:00 PM.
    He is still with us.

  25. O most merciful Jesus, Lover of souls, I pray Thee, by the agony of Thy most Sacred Heart, and by the sorrows of Thy Immaculate Mother, cleanse in Thine Own Blood the sinners of the whole world who are now in their agony and are to die this day. Amen.

Heart of Jesus, once in agony, have pity on the dying.

  26. Fr. Daniel Cooper passed away at 10:50 am on May 1, 2018. RIP.

  27. R.I.P Father Wagner
It is with great sadness for his family that we share the news that Father Michael Wagner was called home early this morning. May he rest in peace.

℣. Requiem æternam dona ei, Domine
℟. Et lux perpetua luceat ei:
    ℣. Requiescat in pace.
    ℟. Amen.

℣. Eternal rest, grant unto him, O LORD,
℟. And let perpetual light shine upon him.
℣. May he rest in peace.
    ℟. Amen.

    Edited to add:

Please join us at Holy Rosary Church this evening at 7:00 pm as we pray Vespers from the Office for the Dead for Father Wagner.

  28. Allow me to add my prayers for our deceased priests, Frs. Cooper and Wagner and my condolences to their families. Eternal Rest grant unto them, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in peace, Amen.

  29. Eternal Rest grant unto them, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in peace, Amen.
