WHEN IT COMES TO THE MANNER IN WHICH HOLY COMMUNION IS RECEIVED, THE HOLY FATHER DOES NOT SAY ONE WAY OR THE OTHER BUT BOTH WAYS–THAT’S A STEP! AND IS THE ENGLISH TRANSLATION FROM THE ORIGINAL ITALIAN BELOW FROM THE VATICAN INSIDER CORRECT? BECAUSE THERE SEEMS TO BE SOME HERETICAL PELAGIAN THINKING EXPRESSED BY THE HOLY FATHER!

At the Wednesday audience Pope Francis continued His Holiness’ catechesis on the Mass with a focus on receiving Holy Communion.
This is what His Holiness said in part with my opinion in red:

To nourish ourselves with the Eucharist (do we “nourish ourselves?” NO! Hopefully this is a mistranslated into English of His Holiness’ Italian–because it is Pelagian, neo or otherwise! Holy Mother Church nourishes us; God nourishes us! We don’t nourish ourselves!!!!) “means to let ourselves be changed for we are receiving”, “every time we make communion we look more like Jesus, we transform ourselves more in Jesus” (WE TRANSFORM OURSELVES?????? MORE PELAGIANISM! I THINK THIS IS HERETICAL, MUST BE MISTRANSLATED!) the Pope stressed: “Just as bread and wine are converted into the Body and Blood of the Lord, so those who receive them with faith are transformed into a living Eucharist”. (Receive them in faith–this means worthily which impacts the merits we receive from receiving worthily–this is good compared to the other things purportedly said in Italian and translated into English).  The faithful, he recalled, “normally approach the Eucharist in processional form and communicate with devotion by standing, or on their knees, as established by the Episcopal Conference, receiving the sacrament in their mouths or, where it is permitted, on their hands, as they prefer”,(Thank God His Holiness doesn’t rule out kneeling for Holy Communion! )and after Communion, “to guard the gift received in our hearts, silence helps us, silent prayer: stretch that moment of silence a little by speaking with Jesus in your hearts, or even a psalm or hymn can helps us to be with the Lord”. The Eucharist, the Pope concluded, “makes us strong to bear fruit, flowers of good deeds, to live as Christians”.

I am glad too that the Holy Father doesn’t make “singing while receivng Holy Communion the thing that unites us! It is Jesus of course. And the Holy Father rightly states that sacred silence can be even more beneficial as the means to help us to be with the Lord!!!!! Thank you Holy Father! Of course His Holiness doesn’t rule out singing, either by a schola or the congregation, but it isn’t turned into a liturgical mandate as Praytell and other modern liturgists are prone to do!

In terms of the heresies above, Vatican Radio has a better translation about receivng Holy Communion:

Our response of “Amen” to the words “The Body of Christ”, he said, signifies our openness to the transformative power of God’s grace.

Also, the Holy Father clarifies that we don’t really process to Christ, it is Christ who processes to us at Holy Communion:

As we process to receive Communion, in reality it is Christ who comes to meet us and assimilate us to himself. To receive the Eucharist means letting oneself be transformed into that which we receive,” he said.
