Rome asked bishops to silence pro-homosexual speakers not faithful Catholics

While Church Militant is being censored in such dioceses as Orange, California and Lansing, Michigan, bishops are ignoring the Vatican’s ban on pro-homosexual speakers like Fr. James Martinand Fr. Greg Boyle.

Before becoming Pope Benedict XVI, then Cdl. Joseph Ratzinger, as head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, asked bishops in 1986 to disallow pro-homosexualist speakers in their dioceses. The cardinal’s focus was directly on those in the Church who “are bringing enormous pressure to bear on the Church to accept the homosexual condition as though it were not disordered and to condone homosexual activity.”

Cardinal Ratzinger directs:

All support should be withdrawn from any organizations which seek to undermine the teaching of the Church, which are ambiguous about it or which neglect it entirely. Such support or even the semblance of such support can be gravely misinterpreted. Special attention should be given to the practice of scheduling religious services and to the use of Church buildings by these groups, including the facilities of Catholic schools and colleges.

For those who think it’s charitable to allow homosexualists to speak at Church venues, Cdl. Ratzinger responds, “To some, such permission to use Church property may seem only just and charitable; but in reality, it is contradictory to the purpose for which these institutions were founded, it is misleading and often scandalous.” Meanwhile, Church Militant is blocked from even donating money to Church venues for not being “uplifting” or “charitable.”
