Vatican Secretary of State on filial correction: ‘important to dialogue’

Catholic World News – 9/28/17

Cardinal Pietro Parolin said that “it’s important to dialogue even with the Church,” when he faced reporters’ questions about the “filial correction” submitted to Pope Francis. “People who disagree express their dissent,” he said; “but on these things we have to reason, to try to understand one another.”

  1. [This is their idea of “dialogue”]

From Vatican Cardinal wants to ‘dialogue’ with signers of Filial Correction to Pope (LifeSiteNews)

The organizers of the correction have denounced an effort to undermine their initiative, saying that a small number of the new names were in error as a result of “fraud.”

Critics have attempted to downplay the correction, arguing that the signers are largely obscure figures, that there was too small a number of signers to make any significant impact, that there are no cardinals backing the letter, and that the letter itself is filled with lies and hypocrisy [and demonizing the only bishop (Bernard Fellay of the SSPX) among the original signers].

But organizers say the criticisms boil down to ad hominem attacks since the critics have offered no real arguments against the Filial Correction’s main claim that the Pope is propagating heresy.
