Climate Change

The following verses from the Douay-Rheims seem to suggest that the earth is damaged, the physical earth, because of human influence. So much for the climate change naysayers.

Isaiah 24: 4-6

The earth mourned, and faded away, and is weakened: the world faded away, the height of the people of the earth is weakened. [5] And the earth is infected by the inhabitants thereof: because they have transgressed the laws, they have changed the ordinance, they have broken the everlasting covenant.

[6] Therefore shall a curse devour the earth, and the inhabitants thereof shall sin: and therefore they that dwell therein shall be mad, and few men shall be left.

  1. Naysayers? You mean AGW deniers? Good grief. Why did you feel the need to raise your comment to a post? Next, do you plan to to sell carbon-credit indulgences?

Yes, as NiceIsNasty explained, nature fights us, as our first parents chose to sin against the Good God. If we continue to sin, God will not withhold nature. But even hurricanes don’t hold a candle to the demonic cult of murder and enslavement known as Communism. I.e., sinners cause the worst punishments.

Also as NN pointed out, if men cut their carbon dioxide output in half, it wouldn’t figure a nit in the whole scheme of things. But even more, carbon dioxide is good. Hear the founder of Greenpeace turned “heretic”:
