The evidence: Trump fails on gay/trans/religious liberty issues

This is Part 4 in a series on the Trump presidency [see for the other three]:

1 – U.S. in danger over extreme, leftist reactions to Trump presidency
2 – 26 more reasons to be grateful for President Trump
3 – Trump has saved many nations from evils of Paris Climate Accord

August 4, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — The first three posts in this series revealed why social conservatives have had good reasons to be astonished and grateful for many bold pro-life actions by President Trump. However, he has disappointed and not yet adequately honored his promises on religious liberty especially regarding “LGBT … ” issues.

Some praiseworthy measures have been enacted, but they have been much less than needed and promised. Still, there can be understandable reasons for Trump not yet having done what he should have on these issues. (watch video below starting at 2:36.)

The now labeled (and always changing) “LBGT … ” issues are among the most manipulated and misreported in society at this time. There is massive false propaganda, being promoted as fact, that is funded by a network of homosexual and other billionaires such as:

Tim Gill
John Stryker
George Soros and others

Most Christian pastors have not taught anything on the homosexual/transgender issue for decades. Among other reasons for this failure, they are fearful and intimidated by the threat of being labelled “homophobic” and have fallen for the wildly successful but contrived “gay victim” marketing strategy developed by two Harvard gay activists in 1989.

So it is no wonder that secular leaders, including Trump, are poorly informed on the personal dangers and serious negative social outcomes of widespread acceptance of “LBGT … ” thought, behavior and influence on society.

There are intense differences on these issues within the U.S. government. It is highly likely that large numbers of militantly pro-“LGBT … ” persons having been promoted to all government branches, including the military, at every level, by the Alinsky-Marxist-community-organizer-driven Obama administration. It should not be surprising that even an Admiral has already stated he will refuse to implement Trump’s just-announced ban on transgendered persons in the military.

At LifeSite, the most hateful, vulgar, irrational, threatening and lowest level of comments that we receive usually comes from homosexual/transgender activists. Many others have experienced the same thing and naturally Trump has also experienced it in reaction to the several positive actions he has taken on these issues.

Critics of “LBGT … ” fear having to cope with such reactions that result from speaking or writing truth about the dangers of homosexuality and transgenderism – no matter how charitably this is presented.

For Trump to do what he must on these issues, he is going to have to risk the most vile reactions imaginable. But he is one of very few leaders who I believe is capable of standing up against such personal trashing – and winning against it.

Trump has proved to be an unusually tough political fighter. However, he needs more education on why America is endangered if the “LGBT … ” movement continues to get its way. He needs to be informed about the New World Order globalist elites and UN bureaucrats who are leading the push for forced acceptance of “LBGT … ” ideology, which is cultural Marxist ideology. Trump needs to understand that these people are his enemies and America’s enemies.

Here is a chronological list of President Trump’s positive and negative record to date on gay, transgender and religious freedom issues (if anything has been missed please add in the story comments):

November 14, 2016 – Trump asserted in a CBS “60 Minutes” interview that the Supreme Court’s Obergefell ruling endorsing homosexual “marriage” is “settled” law. That contradicted statements he made on the campaign trail supporting a reversal of Obergefell, and appealing to “faith” voters for whom the imposition of radically redefined marriage is a major issue. In February, leading up to the South Carolina GOP primary, Trump called Obergefell a “shocking decision” and told Christian Broadcasting Network reporter David Brody that evangelicals could trust him to stand up for traditional marriage. He has not yet done so.

Dec 13, 2016 – Trump chose Exxon-Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson as his Secretary of State. Tillerson, as a former Boy Scouts of America national president, in response to gay activist pressures, pushed for the Scouts to accept openly homosexual boy members — a capitulation that led millions of Americans to abandon or question their support of the youth organization.

January 13, 2017 – Anthony Scaramucci was picked for a top job advising President-elect Trump, a role comparable to Valerie Jarrett’s preeminent role in the Obama White House. Scaramucci told the BBC in November: “I’m … a gay rights activist. … I’ve given to the [pro-“gay” Republican] American Unity PAC … to the Human Rights Campaign, I’m for … marriage equality.”

February 3, 2017 – Trump let stand an Obama 2014 executive order that added “gender identity” to federal workforce nondiscrimination criteria and that forces federal contractors to have pro-homosexual, pro-transgender policies. This shocked pro-family leaders. Trump extended the order after a lobbying campaign by the Log Cabin Republicans.

February 13, 2017 – * Positive – The Trump administration announced it will not defend the Obama administration’s transgender school bathrooms mandate. Angry condemnations of Trump resulted.

February 15, 2017 – Trump allowed Obama’s “LGBT International Envoy,” homosexual activist Randy Berry, to stay on the job in the new Republican administration. This was the most unexpected, disturbing and harmful action by Trump on the “LGBT … ” issues. Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, stated that “keeping Berry only signals to the world that the extreme agenda of the Obama years is still deeply entrenched in the State Department.” The State Department is headed by strong gay rights supporter Rex Tillerson.

February 23, 2017 – Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos opposed the reversal of the Obama transgender-school mandate in internal battles within the Trump administration. DeVos’s record on “LGBT … ” issues indicates that she supports much of the homosexual activist agenda. Still, on May 29, De Vos stood up against hostile questioning and defended the right of states to fund Christian schools that prohibited openly homosexual or transgender students or staff in their schools.

March 10, 2017 – President Trump chose openly homosexual and “gay Christian” advocate Rick Grenell to be the U.S. Ambassador to NATO. Grenell advocates for homosexual “marriage” as a “conservative” issue. He criticized “loud religious right activists” who oppose homosexuality.

April 5, 2017 – * Positive – Trump chose a Tea Party, pro-life conservative Christian and former U.S. Army flight surgeon, Tennessee State Sen. Mark Green, as Secretary of the Army in a move that LGBTQ activists denounced. Green was to fill the spot occupied by Eric Fanning, who was appointed in 2016 by former President Obama as the first “out” homosexual to hold the post. Because of very hostile reaction from gay activists, Green withdrew his name from for the post on May 9.

April 27, 2017 – Fifty-two Republican Congressmen asked President Trump to issue the Feb. 2 draft “executive order” defending religious liberty that was shelved, reportedly with the influence of Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, after being pilloried by the pro-“LGBT … ” Left.

May 2, 2017 – * Positive – Trump broke with the Obama tradition of designating June as ‘LGBT Pride Month’. He has received intense condemnations for doing so.

May 4, 2017 – * Positive – Trump signed an Executive Order titled “Promoting Free Speech and Religious Liberty,” allowing churches to speak about politics from the pulpit while keeping their tax-exempt status and it provides regulatory relief for ordinary Americans who don’t subscribe to gender ideology or believe in same-sex “marriage.” This was much less than needed and previously expected, but it was at least a step in the right direction of undoing all that President Obama imposed on the nation on these issues.

May 4, 2017 – Ryan T. Anderson, prominent natural marriage defender with the Heritage Foundation, stated that Trump’s Executive Order was “woefully inadequate,” “does not address the major threats to religious liberty in the United States today,” and is a mere shadow of the vastly better original draft leaked in February.

May 8, 2017 – The most-criticized element of the executive order is its lack of specific protection for Americans who live their beliefs that marriage is between a man and a woman. Religious freedom and pro-marriage advocate Professor Robert P. George tweeted that the executive order contains no substantial conscience protections. He suggested Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, who are known for supporting the “LGBT … ” cause, “won” and “we lost.”

June 19, 2017 – President Trump did not object when Rhode Island Teacher of the Year, Nikos Giannopoulos, a proud and out homosexual, asked the President if he could hold a fan and pose in a provocatively “gay” manner for his photo with the President and his wife Melania in the Oval Office.

June 30, 2017 – The Trump UN delegation shocked UN social conservative lobbyists when, continuing Obama administration policy, it called for international recognition of homosexual relations at the Human Rights Council in Geneva. However, the action should have been expected given that the President allowed Obama’s “LGBT International Envoy,” homosexual activist Randy Berry, to stay on the job in the new Republican administration.

July 6, 2017 – * Positive – Trump named Bethany Kozma, who actively opposed former President Obama’s transgender bathroom agenda, as Senior Adviser in the Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment division under the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Homosexual organizations condemned Kozma’s appointment, and pro-marriage and family groups praised it.

July 25, 2017 – Trump appointed pro-gay, pro-abortion Anthony Scaramucci as his new Communications Director.

July 26, 2017 – * Positive – Trump announced a ban on transgendered persons in the military reversing an Obama policy that was planned to go into effect July 1. Social liberals responded with fury accusing him of “heinous and disgusting action” and “bowing to evangelical hate groups.” The ban has yet to be formally drafted and enacted, but, if successfully implemented, it may signal the President is finally beginning to understand the danger to the nation of far left, sexual radicalization agendas. Those agendas were given a high priority by President Obama and his many globalist and Marxist friends.

July 31, 2017 – * Positive – Trump fired Scaramucci after his vulgar, profanity-laced rants against Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and Trump adviser Stephen Bannon after a New Yorker magazine interview became public.

On Monday, Part 5 will be published – “The most negative influences on Trump regarding “LBGT … ‘”

  1. I am a transgender female, an ex-Catholic, now atheist. I wish that you would just leave Us alone!! If I walk down the street in my long skirt and am not bothering you, why should you care??? Please, just leave Us alone! Religion is dead, as is Catholicism. Jesus is and will be a “no-show” at his supposed Second Coming; that’s why Francis is moving the Church’s goal posts to say that the so-called Last Judgment is happening right now. All that Francis wants is power, money, influence and power; the Catholic religion is, for him, a means to an end. Just give it up; you have much, much better things to do with your time and precious money. I know that I do!

    • I don’t know about that, but that jehanne handle sounds a little too much like gehenna to me.:(

    • Dear “Jehanne”,
As far as I am concerned, you are most cordially welcome here.
Firstly, it is plain that you know how to think straightly when you want to, as witness this:
“I am an atheist, and I hope that the SSPX does NOT “reconcile” with Rome. Post Vatican II Catholicism makes no sense, is full of contradictions, and if there is a God, he cannot possibly be behind anything in the Papacy of Francis. A Perfect Being, if there is one, would never contradict himself or his so-called “revealed truths”. The natural law, if it exists, must be immutable, and, hence, unchangeable. I would say of Francis’ theology that it is so bad that it is “not even wrong”.
Everything about this post, excepting the “I am an atheist”, is hard-headed common sense.
Secondly, I know that you are being moved by grace to solve your problem. One side of you (the original sin side) does indeed want to be left alone, but of course, your better side doesn’t, because otherwise…why are you here? You can *avoid* the criticism you will find here if you want…simply by doing nothing.
Why won’t we leave you alone?
It’s because Christ didn’t leave *us* alone. He bothered the hell out of us — literally.

For God’s sake, and yours, hang in there, buddy. You have a terrible Cross to carry, but if you persevere, the suffering will be worth it. No pain, no gain. The more pain, the more gain.
And remember: *the problem you have is mostly not your fault*. It wasn’t your fault you were born into a world that has apostatized from Christ, and become an insane cesspool of vice, in whose stench we are all bred.

Some Things, Even Things We Ought to Want, We Cannot Force Ourselves to Want. But We Can Want To Want Anything We Want.

Persevere in the love of truth. Love truth even when you hate it. It may take a long time, but Truth will eventually repay you a hundredfold. If you persevere, you WILL find this also to be true.

      • As far as I am concerned, you are most cordially welcome here.

Beg to differ, but this carp isn’t welcome:
“Religion is dead, as is Catholicism. Jesus is and will be a “no-show” at his supposed Second Coming”
“I am a transgender female, an ex-Catholic, now atheist.”

If Don is seeking truth, he need look no further than up his skirt.

We don’t entertain sedevacantists, a.k.a., *bleeps*, here for a reason. Do we want to check with Servitium if he’s up for a transy apostate atheist? Heh.

        • My personal welcome ultimately doesn’t mean anything, of course, since I don’t speak for this board.
From my standpoint, it is *entirely* understandable how someone brought up in the Novus Ordo would “apostatize” and even become an atheist. In fact, in itself it is commendable. Those who remained in the Novus Ordo when the post-Vat II changes came in were the ones guilty of apostasy — from Tradition, which defines the Church.
Becoming an atheist is not in itself excusable. However, we can at least say there are possible extenuating circumstances. For all we know, this Jehanne/Dawn/Don was abused by a priest, or a parent, and/or grew up in a wildly liberal environment.
On the off chance that there is some subjective good will operating in someone who is obectlively disordered, I choose not to judge their intentions.

  2. This Jehanne person has posted on several occasions. My recent reply is here:

  3. Howl, is the Enneagram only cis-normative or does it scope both sides of the track?

  4. Interesting question. I can only speak on male hetero experience with authority and epistemological certainty in terms of direct, personal experience or empirical knowledge. However, Enneagram typology seems to transcend gender or sex practices. If you look at the graph ( ) on the types and the index for “Ego fixations” along with heading for “Temptation” and “Vice/Passion” some Catholics will recognize a certain similarity with categories from the ethical psychology of Aristotle (Nicomachean Ethics). If you accept the premise that there is some basis in nature for such designations (debatable), they apply equally to men and women. Just as an example, Liberace, who was probably an Enneagram Type #3 (The Achiever) and Hillary, who has been suggested as an Enneagram Type #1, seem to fit the categories. Whatever that could mean.
Consider the Enneagram Type #3 and what could be involved there. Speculatively: Fastidious obsessions with culinary proficiency or fashion tidiness (say, what someone was wearing at a restaurant or fundraising gala) under the Enneagram type #3 “ego fixation” (“vanity”) could fit with certain behavioral patterns as the suggested ego fixation among certain social or gender types where culinary and fashionista issue tend to dominate to an inordinate degree. The Enneagram Type #1 has “resentment” as its ego fixation and “anger” as its “Vice/Passion” vulnerability. Sound like any Left Dems on the stage having tantrums now?

I don’t endorse or advocate Enneagram gnosticism, nor am I an initiate of George Ivanovich Gurdjieff, so most previous posts on the topic were satirical. I learned about it (i.e. Enneagramology) from a priest/colleague at CUA graduate school and from general chatter in Catholic circles a few decades back when Catholic religious formation and training still involved a good deal of psychobabble from the 1960s and 1970s modernist Catholic “dialogue” with schools of psychobabble. At least one modernist priest, hearing confessions in the Washington diocese, was asking penitents in the Confessional if they knew their Enneagram numbers. How that would relate to penance or absolution, God only knows. Perhaps Wuerl could issue an update or clarification on that, after Georgetown is put under interdict and the property returned to Catholics.

Extra credit (for anyone): Does Bergoglio know his Enneagram number?

    • LoL. I just hunted for an image on google for “Enneagram Bergoglio” and noticed that AQ memes are driving the content! Evangelization in the New Age?

      • I believe Father Mitch Pacwa, S.J. discusses the Enneagram in his informative book Catholics and the New Age (which I can recommend). We are from roughly the same era and his experiences in the Jesuits were similar to mine (after Vatican II). Anyone interested in piecing together the implosion and dissolution of Catholic identity after the Spirit of Vatican II took over should read books like this (and pray for vocations):

by Fr. Mitch Pacwa. Probing the reasons why many Catholics are dabbling in the New Age movement, Fr. Pacwa shares firsthand experiences and disillusionment with Jungian psychology and astrology as a Jesuit seminarian. It is a must-read for you and other members of your parish concerned about the growing influence of this movement. Paperback. 204 pages.

    • On the Enneagram … Francis is an Eight – as Father Richard Rohr OFM, the leading Catholic authority on the Enneagram, has confirmed to me in an email. – Austen Ivereigh, Francis at 80 is what a redeemed leader looks like (Crux, December 16, 2016)

  5. Planned Parenthood to Preschoolers: ‘Genitals Don’t Make You a Boy or Girl’
by Dr. Susan Berry, 5 Aug 2017

Planned Parenthood’s new guidelines concerning preschoolers and gender identity instruct parents to teach, “Your genitals don’t make you a boy or a girl.”

The taxpayer-funded abortion vendor, which also receives federal grants for providing sex education in public schools, tells parents of young children how to handle their curiosity about their genitals and why boys’ genitals are different from those of girls:

While the most simple answer is that girls have vulvas and boys have penises/testicles, that answer isn’t true for every boy and girl. Boy, girl, man, and woman are words that describe gender identity, and some people with the gender identities “boy” or “man” have vulvas, and some with the gender identity “girl” or “woman” have penises/testicles. Your genitals don’t make you a boy or a girl.

You can say that most girls have vulvas and most boys have penises/testicles. You may want to emphasize that it doesn’t matter too much what parts someone has — that doesn’t tell you much about them. But you can make that decision based on your values and how you plan to talk with your kid about gender as they grow up.

As the Daily Caller notes, the abortion business’s guidelines for parents of young children have changed since the time Planned Parenthood accepted biological science’s facts about male and female differences.

The old guidelines advise how parents should respond to their young child’s questions:

    Q. What’s that? (pointing to a woman’s breast, or other body parts.)
    A. That’s a breast. Women have breasts. Men don’t. Would you like to know anything else about that?

    Q. How come I have a penis and you don’t?
    A. Boys have penises and girls have vulvas. I’m a woman — a girl who is all grown up — so I have a vulva instead of a penis. And you’re a boy, so you have a penis instead of a vulva.

In the section of its guidelines titled, “How do I talk with my preschooler about identity?” Planned Parenthood recommends to parents:

Be thoughtful about your choices when it comes to books, toys, entertainment, clothes, decorations, and other things you surround your little one with. These choices have an influence on your kid’s understanding of gender and what it means. Putting daughters in pink princess rooms and boys in blue sports rooms before they’re old enough to choose for themselves can send the message that they have to like certain things because of their gender.

Planned Parenthood instructs parents of young children to be careful and sensitive about “gender stereotypes” when choosing a toy or activity:

When you pick a new toy or book, or sign your kid up for a new activity, ask yourself these questions to help you think through whether or not you’re reinforcing gender stereotypes.

Would I feel comfortable with this choice if my kid wasn’t the gender they are? Why or why not?
Does this choice expand or limit my kid’s expectations of who they could grow up to be?
Does my kid generally like things like this already, or am I picking it just because of their gender?

“Talking to (or in front of) your daughter about growing up and having boyfriends or marrying a man (and vice versa) sends the message that girls are supposed to like boys, and boys are supposed to like girls, and that anything else is wrong or not normal,” Planned Parenthood warns.

The guidelines continue with a recommendation to parents that they not assume their child is straight.

“This can lead to mental health issues, unhealthy relationships, and taking more health risks when they reach their teenage years,” cautions Planned Parenthood.

For parents who might have concerns their child is transgender, Planned Parenthood recommends “talking with a counselor or therapist who’s familiar and supportive of LGBTQ identities,” or consulting with political lobbying group PFLAG, which states part of its mission is “Advocacy in our communities to change attitudes and create policies and laws that achieve full equality for people who are LGBTQ.”

The American College of Pediatricians, however, has asserted that gender ideology is harmful to children and that the promotion of gender fluidity enables the masking of serious mental health issues in children.

    The College states:

No one is born with a gender. Everyone is born with a biological sex. Gender (an awareness and sense of oneself as male or female) is a sociological and psychological concept; not an objective biological one…

A person’s belief that he or she is something they are not is, at best, a sign of confused thinking. When an otherwise healthy biological boy believes he is a girl, or an otherwise healthy biological girl believes she is a boy, an objective psychological problem exists that lies in the mind not the body, and it should be treated as such. These children suffer from gender dysphoria. Gender dysphoria (GD), formerly listed as Gender Identity Disorder (GID), is a recognized mental disorder in the most recent edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association (DSM-V)…

“According to the DSM-V, as many as 98% of gender confused boys and 88% of gender confused girls eventually accept their biological sex after naturally passing through puberty,” the College adds. “Conditioning children into believing that a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse.”

Planned Parenthood has joined with the radical social engineering agenda that embraces a society in which gender is fluid and considers biological differences between males and females, and common civic acceptance of those differences, to be obstacles to its goals. Recently, the abortion organization has begun to provide “transgender services” in some of its facilities, including hormone treatments.

In December of 2015, Planned Parenthood announced that it was working with GLSEN, the Human Rights Campaign, and SIECUS for LGBT-inclusive sex education programs in schools:

  6. The major influences on Trump regarding ‘LGBT … ’

    Steve Jalsevac

August 7, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — This is the final installment of a five-part series on President Donald Trump’s record to date on the life and family issues. Today’s article continues the analysis of Trump’s record on the “LGBT…” issues that was begun in Part 4 [above].

Outspoken social conservatives in the Trump administration

It has been encouraging to see how many pro-life, pro-family Christian individuals Trump has appointed to senior positions in his administration. Undoubtedly, some of them have been attempting to educate the president on the dangers of “LGBT…” behavior and agendas to individuals and to the nation. These senior officials, plus the outside Christian advisers that the president has regularly consulted, have certainly played a part in the his nomination and appointment decisions.

Vice President Mike Pence, however, although he has been a consistently strong pro-life advocate on the “LGBT…” issues, is not considered a reliable conservative ally on those issues. Pence claims strong Christian convictions and has publicly stated he is personally against special same-sex “marriage” and other homosexual and transgender rights.

In practice, Pence’s commitment to his Christian beliefs has depended on perceived political advantage or disadvantage. Pence has dramatically caved in response to political pressure from “LGBT…” activists. He stunned social conservatives with his praise for President Trump’s decision to extend a pro-LGBTQ Obama executive order and included gay activist language in his statement that was seen as a rebuke to those who defend traditional beliefs.

But beyond Pence, there are others who have likely been more reliable advocates for the defense of family and the importance of traditional moral principles for a socially healthy and strong nation and military. Dependable social conservatives in the Trump adminstration are Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway, Secretary of Health and Human Service Tom Price, Secretary of Housing and Human Development Ben Carson and Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke.

Just fired Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and Former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer are also solid social conservatives. Both Preibus and Spicer valiantly but unsuccesfully fought against the president’s decision to hire Anthony Scaramucci for White House communications director. Priebus left soon after this debate had been decided and Spicer quit the White House when the hiring of the extreme pro-abortion, pro-gay Scaramucci was finalized. Priebus and Spicer were vindicated when Scaramucci was fired within days, even before his official start date of August 15, after his incredibly vulgar rant against Priebus and Stephen Bannon became public in an interview with New Yorker magazine.

Liberal New York City culture influence on Trump

The president comes from a New York City culture background of many years. New York, especially among the elites and wealthy, is one of the most sexually liberal and anti-faith regions of the United States. Given the social circles within which Trump moved for decades it is a wonder that he has appointed so many social conservatives, and enacted the social conservative policies that he has.

Even the Catholic Church in New York, especially under Cardinal Dolan, has been shamefully liberal on the homosexual/transgender issues.

Trump’s relationship with numerous conservative Catholic and non-Catholic Christians that he initiated in June 2016 seems to have had a notable impact on him. He has been exposed to prayer, convincing arguments and solid data that he has likely never encountered before.

Most influential liberals are known to associate almost entirely with those who share only their own limited liberal views. Hence, the millions of Americans who live conservative lifestyles and hold to traditional moral principles can seem extreme to New York, Hollywood, news media, and other liberals simply because of their years of closed cultural associations.

Trump’s performance at the pre-election New York archdiocese Al Smith dinner was another turning point. At the dinner, he was confronted with a Catholic Cardinal constantly fawning over extreme liberal Hilary Clinton and a crowd of mostly faithless, wealthy New York dignitaries and liberal Democrats, many of whom were previous, frequent acquaintances of Trump.

There was little understanding or genuine support in that room for any of the moral teachings of authentic Christianity. In fact, many of the prominent persons at the dinner were known, hostile opponents of Catholic moral teachings.

And yet Trump was the only one to address the issue of anti-Catholic bias, the need to defend religious liberty and to create a culture of life and he notably referred to the importance of God. In contrast, Hilary Clinton’s speech smoothly catered to her New York elites audience, which she well identified with.

The pressure on Trump to conform to the liberal Democrat New York culture, given who was there and Trump knowing their extreme views, was intense that night. And that culture likely explains a big part of the reason that Trump has not yet acted as he should have so far on the “LGBT…” and religious freedom issues.

Influence of Ivanka and others in Trump administration

Trump’s daughter Ivanka, and husband Jared Kushner are playing an increasingly large and negative role in Trump’s decision-making. The New York power couple have been credited in the media for sinking the initially floated Executive Order on religious liberty. The Kushers have a history of supporting homosexual activism, including co-hosting a fundraiser for a leading pro-homosexual “marriage” group in 2011.

Ivanka and Jared have been strongly identified Democrats and Jared is reported to have ongoing financial and personal dealings with globalist manipulator George Soros and gay activist billionaire Peter Thiel.

Ivanka had also been trying to convince her father to keep Obama’s commitment of the U.S. to the Paris Climate Agreement.

Included in the Paris agreement is a call (top of p.2) for countries to “promote … gender equality, empowerment of women and intergenerational equity,” among other things. These phrases are common to U.N. documents as euphemisms for the promotion of homosexuality and abortion.

Ivanka has also been secretly meeting with leaders of “the progressive women’s movement” and privately met with Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards. She is attempting to steer the Trump presidency toward a liberal feminist direction that could alienate Trump’s conservative political base.

Kushners do not seem to be hard leftist ideologues

The Kushers are an attractive and usually upbeat couple – not at all the personality of the usual left-wing, gay activist and climate ideologues. The parents of three young children have endured some harsh reactions from gay and abortion activists that have likely been shocking to them:

~Ivanka, her husband and three children were harassed on a plane by a gay activist loudly yelling “your father is ruining the country. Why is she on our flight? She should be flying private.” The man and his “husband” had to be removed from the plane just before it left the gate.

~After failing to convince Trump on the Paris accord, Ivanka said she would turn her attention to supporting “my LGBT friends,” but she then received harsh condemnations from them for not taking a stronger stance against the policies of her father and his cabinet members.

~Hundreds of LGBT activists held a raucous “dance protest” outside Ivanka and Jared’s Washington D.C. home on April 3 to protest her father’s policies on climate change, calling Ivanka “complicit” for not standing “up to the bigotry and hate of her father.”

~During the meeting that Ivanka herself arranged with Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards, Ivanka was lied to throughout the meeting about what the organization does with the massive funding it receives from government.

~Various media reported that Cecile Richards later publicly criticized Ivanka for her “deafening” silence on the healthcare bill, especially now that Ivanka is a senior White House official with an office in the West Wing.

It seems by now that Ivanka should be learning how extreme, dishonest and unreasonably demanding the various groups that oppose her father really are. The only way that she can satisfy them would be to publicly attack many of her father’s policies and call him a bigot and hater – despite knowing that he is neither.

Ivanka and Jared may simply be, like Ivanka’s father, products of New York’s very closed, ultra-liberal culture and need to consider also associating with persons with different views as the President has done. Ivanka and Jared may have very little awareness of the arguments and real lives of the millions of American social and religious conservatives. Like many New York Democrat liberals, they probably have an unjust, stereotypical view of conservatives simply because they have never associated with any of them to a significant degree.

My suggestion is that we should all pray for Ivanka and Jared and many conservative leaders should reach out and attempt to befriend them. It seems well worth a try.

The negative influence of Rex Tillerson on government social policy

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is not at all a friend of conservative Americans as LifeSite revealed in a thorough, must-read December 15 report. We wrote,

“Family Research Council President Tony Perkins slammed Rex Tillerson, President-elect Trump’s choice for Secretary of State, for his record at ExxonMobil of promoting homosexuality and abortion — and his role in opening up the Boy Scouts of America to homosexuals.”

Ivanka and Rex worked together to try to convince the president to keep the U.S. in the Paris Climate accord and to greatly tone down the initial draft of a religious liberty Executive Order. While unsuccessful on the first, they totally succeeded on the second.

In a June statement sent to Newsweek recognizing Gay Pride month, Tillerson, in line with previous Obama policy, stated, “In recognition of LGBTI Month, the Department of State affirms its solidarity with the human rights defenders and civil society organizations working around the world to uphold the fundamental freedoms of LGBTI [Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex] persons to live with dignity and freedom.” Ivanka also made a statement recognizing Gay Pride month while the President did the opposite and broke with the Obama-established tradition.

One has to wonder what negative influence Tillerson, who lives just a few doors down from Ivanka and Jared’s house, is having on the younger couple and of course also on the President.

Tillerson is likely more resistant to openness about reconsidering his strong pro-LGBT views. It is also well worth praying for him and attempting to befriend him. Still, I suspect, given his invested past pro-“LBGT…” actions, his high level international corporate status during which he managed many thousands of people, and his age, he will be more entrenched in his mistaken views that have probably come from having succumbed to pro-“LGBT…” and climate change seductive lobbying and propaganda.

The left has found corporate business tycoons to be generally easy marks for infiltration with their culture change agents and policies since these business leaders are usually totally uneducated on issues not directly related to their businesses. Their very demanding daily business schedules leave them no time to acquire objective, in-depth understanding of the controversial social and political issues.

The leftist seductions are skillfully presented to appeal to the businessmen’s sense of fair play and willingness to help victims of whatever false, contrived scenario’s the seducers present to them.

Harmful divisions among Christians and especially Catholics

Not at all helping the situation today are the massive and growing divisions among Christians on “LGBT…” issues. Many have even rejected centuries of traditional Biblical teaching.

Worst of all, we have lost the powerful international influence of the Vatican to urge government leaders to understand more about the numerous dangers to individuals and nations of a collapse of traditional moral standards.

Under Pope Francis, it seems that much immorality can now be justified, but under John Paul II and Benedict the millennia of Christian moral teachings were extremely well taught and defended for the good of all – Christians and non-Christians alike. Natural law was the language to reach and teach the world. Under the current Francis papacy, Natural law has disappeared and it almost seems as though there never was a St. Pope John Paul II who wrote the greatest encyclicals in history on Church moral teachings.

Still, Trump seems to realize that Pope Francis is not on his side or on the side of the many faithful Catholics, Evangelicals and other believing Christians who support him. During his visit to the Vatican, Trump ignored the smooth attempt by Francis and Vatican Secretary of State Pietro Parolin to convince him of his supposed moral obligation to keep the United States as a signer to the Paris Climate Agreement.

If President Trump pays any heed to the Vatican on homosexual and transgender issues, let’s pray he heeds the unbroken 2,000 years of tradition on Christian sexual morality annunciated by the still living Pope Benedict XVI rather than the confusion stemming from his successor.

  7. Politicians of whatever ilk say what they think will get them re-elected and that is precisely what the current administration is doing. Truth is therefore a relative term as Pontius Pilate said to Jesus: “Truth – What is truth?” And, it is also the reason why the church of Vatican II has equivocated on so many issues of concern to the sheep who are merely looking for the voice of the Good Shepherd. Satan is having a field day. But this has already been foretold in the Apocalypse so we must not be deceived.
