Pope Francis Contradicts Council of Trent

[Again!?]

On Tuesday Pope Francis said in his morning homily, that “a Christian cannot be a hypocrite and a hypocrite is not a Christian.” But it is not true that a Christian, by being a hypocrite, stops to be a Christian.

The Council of Trent (1545-1563), Session Six, Canon 28, condemns the idea that sin causes the sinner to lose the effects of baptism, “If any one says, that he, who has faith without charity, is not a Christian; let him be anathema.”

  1. When doctrinal historians look back on this benighted hour in Church history, I would not be surprised to learn that it will become widely known as the “Chuck Barris Epoch.”
