A disgusting anti-Catholic and Marxist screed: How Pope Francis can cleanse the far-right rot from the Catholic Church by Emma-Kate Symons.

I highly doubt that this arrogant, so-called, journalist, would write such a critical piece on Islam.

What is happening here is a realization that Francis is in jeopardy, a jeopardy of his own making. There is going to be a massive schism and it will be caused by Francis. This article is a plant and part of a wider plan to defend Bergoglio from the outcry of faithful Catholics.

This woman is using Alinsky tactics to target and assassinate Cardinal Burke, if she could do so literally, I have no doubt that she would. The evil that flows from the keyboard of this Symons and the recent piece in the New York Times is so obvious to see.

They will all come crashing down and will fall like snowflakes in to Hell.

May Our Blessed LORD continue to guide Cardinal Burke and may St. Michael protect him from these enemies. Amen.

    Raymond Cardinal Burke is a brilliant defender of orthodoxy, one who has bumped heads with the pope. Which man is right is not for the Catholic League to say [Bulldog’s neo-Catholicism is showing – AQ moderator Tom] . But when either man is being unfairly maligned, it beckons a response.

    Emma-Kate Symons is not content to side with the pope—she is bent on savaging Cardinal Burke. Not able to sustain a rational argument, she descends to vitriol.

    She calls Burke a “renegade cleric” and a “rebel prince of the church” who seeks to “legitimize extremist forces that want to bring down Western liberal democracy.” He also works with a “conservative wing that wants to reassert white Christian dominance.” She did not say if he belongs to the Klan.

    Burke is also charged with presiding over a “secretive society headquartered in Rome.” It’s called the Knights of Malta! He is also accused of presiding over “a far-right, neo-fascist-normalizing cheer squad out of the Holy See.” She did not say if they wear Brown Shirts.

    Symons, acting like a good liberal, wants Burke silenced. She wants him kicked out of the Knights of Malta—it does not matter to her [nor to FrankenPope – AQ moderator Tom] that it is a sovereign entity—and punished for enabling “extremism and neo-fascism” in the Catholic Church.

    This kind of insane discourse is usually found on some alt-left blog site, the creation of an unemployed blogger writing on his laptop at Starbucks. That the Washington Post would provide a home for this trash tells us how low its standards have fallen.

    Ben Bradlee and Sally Quinn were the “face” of the left wing, ultra-left media for generations. Quinn openly admitted her atheism. Yet both were at the top of the “A” list in Georgetown cocktail party circles.

    REMNANT COMMENT: The author of this Catholic-bashing rant is Emma-Kate Symons — a Washington-based journalist and former Paris correspondent. Her work has been published in Foreign Policy, Women in the World in association with the New York Times, Quartz, the Atlantic, the Wall Street Journal and the Australian Financial Review.

    In other words, she’s a person of some influence. Mark well how she concludes her article: “If the pope doesn’t put the reactionary elements such as Burke and his cronies back in their place, they could force a real schism during his papacy and leave the church open to justifiable accusations that it failed to stand up to enablers of extremism and neo-fascism within its ranks.”

    Smells a bit like blackmail, doesn’t it?

    “Extremism,” “neo-fascism” and “white dominance” are terms not bandied about by journalists these days unless there is deliberate intent to vilify and intimidate a certain demographic. They immediately conjure up (at least in the minds of the undereducated) flickering black-and-white images of mass murderers on the History Channel — e.g., Adolf Hitler, Joe Stalin, Pol Pot. But surely when a “responsible” journalist employs such terms, it’s not without good cause. It can only mean that the person (or group) at whom such vitriol is directed must present a real threat to homeland security—someone that governments and police departments alike would be wise to monitor.

    This inflammatory rhetoric (some might call it hate speech) is, ironically enough, the stock-in-trade of far-Left hate hunters. And, by and large, it works. And it’s guaranteed to work in this case, when Francis comes blundering in with his weekly caricatures of faithful Catholics as “rigorists” and “extremists” in his own Church — thus making the rhetoric seem that much more warranted. “It must be true if the Pope thinks so too!”

    In other words, Pope Francis is becoming key to the success of a radically anti-Catholic agenda.

    The takeaway? Pope Francis is not merely a liberal-leaning pope with whom faithful Catholics are permitted to respectfully disagree. No, not anymore. His is the voice of reason against unreasonable Catholic “extremism” (read: orthodoxy). He’s the liberator who will rescue the modern world from a vengeful return of the Church of the Dark Ages, the Church of the Inquisition, the Church of a Repressive Moral Code that ushered millions into hopelessness and despair, lives cut short by Catholic Guilt. And if you don’t go along with the Pope’s new and improved Church of Inclusion, Church of Accompaniment — well, obviously, you’re a hater who wants people to die or at least live in misery.

    If you’re opposed to ‘gay marriage,’ for example, you have only a few years to publicly air those views. Francis is shifting the Church so far to the Left that those Catholics who do not go along with him (and, let’s face it, we’re already to the point where Catholics are bound in conscience not to) will be easily vilified as “dangerous extremists”, so filled with hate that even their own Church finds them deplorable.

    You see how it works? This is no longer about a mere theological or philosophical divide in the Catholic Church, with progressives on one side and conservatives on the other. No, it’s part of a purging, whereby radical Leftists will declare open season on faithful Catholics — loners who have “broken away” from the Pope of Toleration in order to make common cause with the radicalized descendants of Tim McVey and Dave Koresh.

    One little problem now, of course: ‘Hate groups’ were always and forever supposedly motivated by a paranoid anti-government fear factor — the veritable meat and potatoes of “domestic terrorists”. So with Donald Trump in the White House, the radical Left’s go-to narrative becomes obsolete, and a new challenge presents itself: Link the “vast right-wing Christian conspiracy” to the White House this time around, and then condemn the entire “basket of deplorables” in one fell swoop.

    It’ll be interesting to see how this works out for them down the road. But, clearly, the Washington Post is trotting it out already with its paranoid call for Pope Francis to crush some scaaaaaary Cardinal Burke-Steve Bannon cartel. Depending on how this all plays out, Francis may turn out to be not only the most humble pope in history but also the most dangerous.

    Perhaps this is why the Left is love-bombing him to death.

      Constitution be damned. And for that matter, why in the world would the Saint Louis City Board of Aldermen– the legislative body for what used to be called The Rome of the West– have to care that the Catholic Church is vehemently opposed to its murderous, unconstitutional agenda?

      The Board of Aldermen of the City of Saint Louis, the municipal version of a failed state seemingly designed to make the denizens of Detroit and Cleveland feel optimistic, has decided by 17-10 vote to make our city an abortion “sanctuary city”. One may not now even disagree with any baby-killing advocate without legal consequences. How so? Well, the Archbishop states it well in his wonderfully defiant statement, and I have written on it here before.

      So, I read a post on Facebook which referenced the St. Louis Review story, and left the following comment:

      EVERY mayoral candidate on the Democrat side voted for this. Hey Lyda Krewsen, I WILL NOT take a Democrat primary ballot to vote for your sorry hide. Hope you lose by a single vote.

      I guess we can pray that gay marriage Slay will not sign the bill. Right.

      I was considering moving my business into the city. Not now.

      Finally, why does the St. Louis [Archdiocese] Review headline reference this as a “reproductive health bill”? Is this a Catholic publication?

      And I mean it. When I think of the difficulties that actually exist in Saint Louis, preventing its civic rebound, I think of violent crime in nearly every neighborhood and in the “tourist” zones as well; I think of a dismal public school system that chases families out of the city; I think of the Board of Aldermen itself, a vestige of a political machine patronage system set up when the city was at all important; I think of Catholic schools and parishes closing and taking with them the anchors of neighborhood viability; I think of a truly bizare tax system that penalizes people for living or working in the city.

      I don’t think “Hey, we don’t kill enough babies, and we don’t prosecute people who make baby killers feel bad.”

      Failed state model indeed. A merger with the county is the only thing that could save the edifice, but like all failed states, I can see why county government would want “extreme vetting” before letting any city official near it.

      HEY VOTERS: EVERY DEMOCRATIC MAYORAL CANDIDATE VOTED FOR THIS. Are any of them Catholic? I mean, at least as Catholic as outgoing Mayor Slay, who violated the Missouri Constitution to allow sodomites to pretend to get married, and who should have been arrested for doing so? I’m sure any Catholic who voted for this abomination will be denied Holy Communion by their pastor. Right? Of course excommunications are not to be hoped for.

      Finally, a couple of notes on my Facebook comment, above. It seems someone from the Review reads Facebook, because the headline of the story was changed to remove the word “health” from the “reproductive decisions” we are not allowed to criticize. It is just as milquetoast as it gets. Maybe the Review is already self-censoring to avoid problems with this bill. How are we ever going to win when we use the enemy’s terminology for genocide?

      And I will never move my business interests into the city while this bill stands.

      St. Louis, for some reason known only to God, seems to be one locus of the major civilizational conflict of our times. God have mercy on us.

  6. Hi Tom, Thanks for the post. It is sad that the killing of children is becoming so mainstream and some are trying to pass laws against criticizing it’s practice. What is even more disheartening is when the so called “Leaders” in the Church try to equate abortion with the stopping of illegal immigration. This is clearly a travesty and more influential bloggers and priests in the parishes have to condemn it. Bishops Cardinals, and the Pope need to be ignored and pushed back against, when they issue such nonsensical decrees. Large Groups within the Church needs to take them on and rise up, not just a couple of Right Minded Cardinals. Oh Well, Thanks and God Bless !

  7. In their propaganda and obscurantism the secular media in the U.S. could not get the story on the Catholic Church more wrong. They have missed the main event – the collaboration by heretical homosexual progressive modernists, the Illuminati, and anti-Catholic secret societies in an organized conspiracy to infiltrate the Catholic Church in order to promote climate change hysteria, Malthusian population control, and global socialism. Making Burke the boogieman of their propaganda narrative tips their hand and reveals the occultism beneath their silly neo-gnostic ritual masks. What a ridiculous piece of trash The Washington Post has become as its fruitcakes become errand boys for George Soros and the global population control cabals. You won’t be laughing in hell.
