Among the political contributions by employees of Catholic Relief Services (CRS) that are logged on federal data bases, the overwhelming majority have been given to candidates who support legal abortion, the Lepanto Institute reports.
The Lepanto Institute, which has been consistently critical of CRS, examined records of contributions in federal elections, and found that CRS officials had made 191 such contributions. Of these, 187 went to candidates who favor abortion. The Lepanto study uncovered donations from 52 employers of CRS, the US bishops’ international relief agency; 50 had supported pro-abortion candidates.
