Justice Department issues report on religious discrimination

[No mention of government (especially federal) harassment of Christians; rather the report implicitly advocates such]

Following seven community roundtables, the US Department of Justice has issued a report, “Combating Religious Discrimination Today.”

The report cited the “violence and harassment that Muslims, as well as individuals perceived to be Muslim, including Sikhs, Hindus, Arabs, Middle Easterners, and South Asians, continue to face.”

“Many feel threatened or discriminated against because of who they are, what they believe, or where they worship,” the report concluded. “Whether it’s preventing and prosecuting religion-based hate crimes on our streets or combating religion-based bullying in our schools, the Justice Department is firmly committed to working closely with our agency partners to lead a wide range of enforcement actions and to develop and implement policy proposals.”
