I received this request from a friend and am passing it along. Cases such as this are hardly uncommon…
Dr. Anthony Moses was a professor of medieval studies at the University of Tennessee.
Day before yesterday I received the Christmas card I sent him care of his work address (because mail from his home address would sometimes get swiped) along with a letter from the University informing me that Tony had passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.
He was a fine Catholic gentleman. He attended the TLM, only, and wore the Brown Scapular. He was 63.
His parents claimed his body and had him buried in a protestant cemetery in Arkansas after a protestant funeral. They told the press that he was a member of their protestant denomination.
There was a memorial TLM held at his home parish in Tennessee, however. It’s a shame that his body doesn’t lie in sanctified ground, but I have great hopes that his soul, at any rate, is in a sanctified place.
Any prayers or prayer requests for the repose of his soul will be much appreciated.
