A Frankenbishop on FrankenPope and “modern families”

[A Frankenbishop on FrankenPope and “modern families”]

DECEMBER 24, 2015 California Catholic Daily from DECEMBER 23, 2015 San Diego Union-Tribune

San Diego’s Bishop Robert McElroy would like … a compassionate approach to Catholics who are divorced and remarried [and] a welcoming attitude toward gay parishioners …

Although McElroy was not part of the synod, or assembly of bishops, called by the Vatican in 2014 to consider family life and the church, he expects Pope Francis to summarize his findings next year.

The pontiff, McElroy predicted, will reaffirm church teaching that marriage is a lifetime commitment between one man and one woman — but may also welcome divorced and remarried Catholics into the life of the church, allowing them to receive the sacrament of the Eucharist.

He also expects “new outreach and initiatives” toward gay Catholics. While the church does not recognize same-sex marriage and regards sexual activity outside marriage as sinful, McElroy stressed that church membership is not determined by a single litmus test.

“In Catholic thinking,” he said, “it is absolutely wrong to reduce someone to their sexual identity or their sexual life.”

Instead, McElroy said, the church needs to be equally welcoming to all members, gay or straight. He noted that some parishes within the diocese have shown an openness to families led by same-sex couples, baptizing their adopted infants and enrolling their children in parochial schools.

“I wish there was more of this welcoming,” the bishop said, “but there is a lot of welcoming going on.”

  1. While the church does not recognize one race as superior over another and regards extermination of inferior races as sinful, McElroy stressed that church membership is not determined by a single litmus test.

“In Catholic thinking,” he said, “it is absolutely wrong to reduce someone to their racialist aspirations or their eugenic activity.”

Instead, McElroy said, the church needs to be equally welcoming to all members, Nazi, pro-abortionist, or anti-abortionist.

  2. “The pontiff, McElroy predicted, will reaffirm church teaching that marriage is a lifetime commitment between one man and one woman — but may also welcome divorced and remarried Catholics into the life of the church, allowing them to receive the sacrament of the Eucharist.”

If he did that he’d truly be a heretic.
You can’t have it both ways. If “marriage is a lifetime commitment between one man and one woman” then someone divorced and “remarried” is committing adultery, therefore can not receive Communion.
And this new “outreach” to homos is another smoke and mirror liberal scheme by Jorge and his velvet mafia bosses for the Church to promote and accept the homosexual “lifestyle” and the perverts who choose to engage in that perversity.
This guy Bergoglio (and his like minded modernist and heretical lieutenants like this bishop and others) need to be resisted by every orthodox Catholic bishop.

  3. Someone once said: “Follow the money trail” when it comes to criminal acts by those in high leadership positions. In this case the deviants in society at large know they can control the Church hierarchy with $$$ since they have large caches of same. The hierarchy for the most part is losing money daily due to their sinful behavior and therefore they welcome support from these deviant groups. True Catholics are fed up with the hierarchy and have turned off the flow of donations to all but the small minority of clergy who value Tradition and the perennial teachings of the Church. It’s catacombs all over again IMO. Other Catholics have left the Church completely and have joined other religions or no religion at all. What a sad situation for the hierarchy to face come Judgment Day!
