A growing number of Catholics, including cardinals and bishops, are coming to recognize that the current pontificate is causing grave harm to the Church. Is it time for Pope Francis to step down? Michael discusses it, and The Remnant launches a petition you can sign at remnantnewspaper.com/web/index.php/articles/item/2198-the-year-of-mercy-begins

  1. “A growing number of Catholics, including cardinals and bishops, are coming to recognize that the current pontificate is causing grave harm to the Church. Is it time for Pope Francis to step down?”
He’ll never abdicate on his own IMO.
Bergoglio was elected to the Chair of Peter by a cabal of Cardinals (like Danneels) to do exactly what he has been doing. Which is to water down Catholic dogma, the Ten Commandments and the New Testament to go along with the NWO.
The only way IMO Jorge leaves the Chair of Peter is either by illness and death or by the bishops removing him.
I don’t see the latter happening so it will be the former.
Of course promoting modernism and watering down the faith to promote the NWO didn’t start with Bergoglio, but he has taken it to the level the revolutionaries before, at Vatican II and afterward have been dreaming about for decades.

    • Here is what I think. When liberals take over, they want to make everything easy for themselves by doing away with anything that is challenging in the faith, like self discipline. So, if this pope and his followers have their way, they will do away with anything authentically catholic including the doctrine of eternal hell. Well, if according to the concept that when one liberal thing takes place, then more liberal things will take place where the modern church will not even look catholic. Then a schism will occur with the good bishops on one side and the heretics on the other. Then we can choose what we want. I will go the way of the Burke type bishops and cardinals and the groups like the fssp and Pius X can get together and we will be a power that will condemn the liberals and water down the bad pope by ignoring his heterodox teachings and follow the true path of the preconciliar church.

  2. When Cardinal Burke was demoted i knew we were in trouble. Burke has no scandal in his past and was 100% orthodox. His being removed spoke volumnes

    • The problem is— how do we know that another man chosen for the pope will be any better than Francis? The liberals will just elect another weirdo and we will have the same. The Holy Spirit does not appear to be active in defending the present church in Rome but is present in the heart of every true Catholic person who wants the old Catholicism so I don’t think we can trust the present curia to put in another pope any better than the one we have now.

  3. I signed because the letter was so well written and because they- the Remnant- did Something, other than articles about scandal – they mailed it to the Vatican. I do not think this pope is going anywhere at this time or in the near future, tho I can’t tell the future. I’m not one for signing online petitions. What else can we do? Besides live a truly Catholic life?
