The “Year of Mercy” and Protocol 1411/99.

What are we to think of those who at the highest levels of our beloved Church seem more
concerned with their own “oneupmanship” than the salvation of souls? The reigning Pope
(whichever one that is) has declared 2016 as the “Year of Mercy” beginning Dec 8, 2015 and
has bestowed on the FSSPX faculties and jurisdiction for the sacrament of Penance during
that year. But what about the numerous other organizations that celebrate the Mass
according to the 1962 Missal? And what about the other sacraments according to the
liturgical books in effect in 1962? Are they included? It brings to mind the infamous
Protocol 1411/99 (www.latinmassmagazine.com/articles/articles_1999_fa_woods.html)
which, though never published officially, nevertheless was used to browbeat the followers
of Archbishop Lefebvre. Is this compatible with the Year of Mercy?

It is a sad thing to see the Church in such disarray – to see Lucifer and his agents sowing
seeds of doubt and despair among the faithful. So, we pray for Our Lord’s intervention and
we ask Him to right the Ship of Peter and restore all things unto Himself. And we ask Our
Blessed Mother to intercede in our behalf so that our prayers will receive a worthy answer in
these despicable times and that She will make our humble request Her own. O Mary,
conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.
