Word of the Day – Deconflict

Deconflicted, or deconflicting, or deconflict is used in military jargon for the following purposes.
— When two friendly organizations are working the same Area, a conflict arises as these organizations near each other, or share an area of responsibility v. the enemy.

The term deconflict means that the two friendly organizations have worked out a plan allowing one or other of the organizations to have complete jurisdiction of a shared area, while the 2nd friendly organization does not.

— Deconfliction of an area  means, that a clearance to operate in an area has been authorized by higher authority.

If only the traditional orders in the church would deconflict, maybe we’d accomplish something.
