  1. “Q: So you are saying that most of the opposition to “Laudato Si” came from the oil and gas industries?”
“A : Yes, I think so. Because as the Pope says in the encyclical, 90% of the scientific community agrees that climate change is a problem today, and that this (use of oil and gas) is a cause of global warming.”

“A small minority was against it, and of this minority we can say that the underlying reason was because these people live off of oil, and it’s clear that the encyclical teaches that the use of this material is not the best thing for the question of climate change and that we need to find new ways to produce energy.”

They make statements like 90% of scientists believe that the use of oil is the reason for climate change but they fail to invite to their meetings those scientists who disagree. And, they expect us to believe them? Get real!

  2. A: I don’t know if the Pope wants to repeat that kind of speech. It was very specifically for the World Meeting of Popular Movements. These are people who are very poor: They don’t have a house, they don’t have work, the don’t have land. I think, in your country, people don’t have the same needs, so maybe he will speak in another way.

Translation: Community organizers tailor their message to achieve the greatest impact. With America, Papa knows that communism won’t fly. He’ll hide it under softer “social justice” terms so stupid Americans will suck it up.

  3. Are you a commie, or a citizen?

This movie tells you what it takes to be a true patriotic, American. If you can’t rat out the godless commies without thinking, watch this film!

    What a moron!

So Jorge wrote this junk encyclical because “90% of the scientific community agrees that climate change is a problem today”?

OK, using that flawed logic we can expect Jorge to write an encyclical denying the existence of God and the existence of Heaven and Hell because the vast majority of the “scientific community” deny God exists.

When the Pope, and the Catholic Church start listening to a majority of atheistic humanist scientists on questionable science like global warming and giving it a prominent place in Catholic social doctrine we are in big trouble.
