With regard to the controvery surrounding Mr. Trump’s foray into the Republican party race for President it’s all about policies, folks, not personalities. Unfortunately, so far it appears at least until yesterday, that the Republicans were poised to nominate a “Mr. John Q. Milquetoast” for the presidency. This will not do, of course, with China, Russia, and a host of other countries out there willing to do battle with the United States in the economic sphere and, it appears from China’s latest adventure in the seas, even militarily. But, and here is the defining problem – if the US government, whoever is in charge, intends to “lead from behind” we’ll be playing into the hands of the satanic forces out there willing to do us in. And, the same applies to our moral sense as a nation. If we accept all manner of moral decay in our policies at home, we can be sure that the end result will be defeat not victory abroad.

  1. He is waffling on abortion but so are the majority of the other so-called pro-life candidates. We shall see what the voters think of this johnny-come-lately.

  2. Trump hit the ball out of the park with his speech in Iowa. As for his electability , I don’t know, but I liked what he said. I especially like it when he called the leaders and politicians we have now , stupid. You could probably say the same thing about the church leaders we have today. He is right on immigration, National Defense, Foreign and Domestic Policy and I like his in your face attitude. I would love to be able to see him go up Obama and his administration and say “Your Fired “!!!!!!!!

  3. Reagan was never pro-life in any Catholic sense of the term and neither is Trump by admitting to the Reagan exceptions. It’s that simple.

Although, there has never in fact EVER been a pro-life president since Roe.

    And that’s no accident.

Trump’s worth about $8 billion. If he wants to run he just has to write one check and he’ll swamp the other eleven GOPutrid nebbishes. Nevertheless, if the powers behind the GOP throne don’t want him, they could create serious obstacles.

We are not talking about Jimmy Stewart, here, if you catch my drift. Yet, even that might not slow the Donald. He’s Rocky Balboa when it comes to manipulating the media.

If he doesn’t go off the rails yet again, I’d give him a 33% chance of taking the nomination at this absurdly early stage of the quadrennial farce we still bother to call a White House “election.”

They pretend to stand for something and we pretend our votes count.

      Very true.

As despicable a human being as Joseph Stalin was, he kind of said something that made sense when he said:

“You know, comrades, that I think in regard to this: I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this — who will count the votes, and how.”

  4. Remember, folks, we will not be electing a Pope or a Pastor but a President whose main focus should be the Constitution and defending it against all enemies foreign and domestic. IMO what questions should be asked are: If you are elected what type of person would you appoint as Secretary of Defense, Secretary of State, Chairman of the JCS, to a vacancy on the Supreme Court, etc. I don’t think any of the candidates will provide suitable answers to those questions. And what would they do to eliminate or reduce the moral decay in our nation most especially the murder of innocents in the womb and the desecration of Marriage and the Family? And last but not least how will you act to make the federal budget a “live within your means” proposition?
