With all that is happening in the world and the Church these days it seems appropriate to remember the words of Our Lord to His disciples as contained in the Gospel of St. John, Chapter 14, verses 16-20: [16] “And I will ask the Father, and he shall give you another Paraclete, that he may abide with you for ever. [17] The spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, nor knoweth him: but you shall know him; because he shall abide with you, and shall be in you. [18] I will not leave you orphans, I will come to you. [19] Yet a little while: and the world seeth me no more. But you see me: because I live, and you shall live. [20] In that day you shall know, that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.”

  1. Thank you for this reminder. :-)

  2. Who is despairing?

This is a unique chance in God’s history of the world, of Salvation, to show unwavering fidelity to Jesus and to His sacred doctrine of His Eternal Catholic Church, all without even a bloody martyrdom…although the infidelities of others who should know better, are quite painful to the soul for those who love Jesus and care about the amount of souls put in grave danger of their salvation.

    Stay faithful,
just say NO to the evil and infidelities (you will make enough enemies just by saying NO),
and Our Lord will merit those who were faithful until the end,
even if it be a few (which I hope it should be everyone!, not an exclusive few).

Life is given to all of us, as a chance to show fidelity to God or not.
Let us rejoice that Jesus has chosen us to live in these times to show great fidelity.
But that means we lose the comfort of living in a solid Catholic civilization,
we live in an environment that even saying “God Bless You” can get you pegged for ostracism and social disadvantage if you say it to the wrong person.

No Pain, No Gain for Jesus………
