A Sign of Hope in the Devastated Vineyard

Today, we had the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on the day in the Traditional Calendar in honor of the Dedication of the Basilica of the Holy Savior. After the Mass, we were allowed to witness the veiling of Sister Bernadette of the Immaculate Conception from the Carmelite Monastery of the Sacred Hearts. To say it was an inspiring ceremony would be an understatement and the fact that it even occurred, when many sisters have abandoned their veil, is a minor miracle indeed. Nevertheless, it shows that Our Lord and His Blessed Mother have not abandoned us, even while His Church shows some embarrassing wounds. We give thanks to all those holy nuns who have not abandoned their veils and we pray for the ones that have that they may recapture them and wear them with the dignity of their calling.
