For the first time in history, Islamic prayers and readings from the Quran will be heard at the Vatican on Sunday, in a move by Pope Francis to usher in peace between Israelis and Palestinians.

Francis issued the invitation to Israeli President Shimon Peres and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas during his visit last week to Jordan, Israel, and the Palestinian Authority.

Abbas, Peres, and Francis will be joined by Jewish, Christian and Islamic religious leaders, a statement released by Peres’s spokesperson said, according to the Times of Israel.

Holy See officials on Friday said the evening prayers would be a “pause in politics” and had no political aim other than to rekindle the desire for Israeli-Palestinian peace at the political and popular level, according to the Associated Press.”

  1. Wonder when they are going to hold interfaith services in synagogues ,mosques and Buddhist Temples,it wont happen because unlike vatican 2 they wont compromise their faith.

Seldom does John Vennari write with such intense force, but he does here…

    From John Venrari, this evening:

Francis and four points of Apostate Action
Islamic prayers to be held at the Vatican

    by John Vennari

“This Sunday, June 8, Pope Francis will allow for the first time in history Islamic prayers from the Quoran to be recited at the Vatican. The service is said to be in the cause of Peace in the Middle East (see report below). Members of Judaism will be part of the interfaith gathering as well. This radical initiative is scandalous on at least four counts:

    1) The Prayers of Islam worship a false god; not the true God who is the Blessed Trinity; not the true God Jesus Christ, who said “No man comes to the Father but through Me.” Speaking on the modernist notion that various religions worship the same God, the eminent theologian Father Reginald Garrigou-Lagrange explained that such a tenet denies the principle of non-contradiction, which is the most fundamental principle of reason. Father Garrigou-Lagrange explains, “It is injurious to say that God would consider with equanimity all religions while one teaches truth and one teachers error, when one promises the good and one promises the evil. To say this would be to affirm that God would be indifferent to good and evil, to what is honest and shameful.”[1]

    2) Pope Francis’ act fosters the religious indifferentism condemned by the Catholic Church and condemned by reason. Great popes such as Leo XII, Pius IX, Gregory XVI and others all condemned religious indifferentism; a false system that gives the impression that any religioun is good enough for salvation. Along with the popes already mentioned, Pope Pius VIII forcefully condemned this error in the encyclical Traditi humilati nostrae:

  3. Like, I mean, I’m not into the touchy-feeley stuff. Can I, like, just get high, you know, and listen to Pink Floyd? Coexist, and all that?

  4. Taking John Vennari’s meaning objectively, we’re moving into Golden Calf territory, here.

That is literally no exaggeration, either. Study the article’s quotations carefully.

  5. I wonder when they’re going to realize that “peace” has to be defined and that definition agreed upon before they can attain it.
Everyone pretending they agree isn’t going to result in “peace”.

Praying for God to intervene and will be making acts of reparation for this blatant violation of the commandments, especially #1-3 if this does indeed occur.

  6. I believe that Bishop Sheen said that there can be no world peace until there is first Soul peace.
How can a soul be really at peace worshipping false gods and clinging a no longer valid religion?

There once was a Pope of nice
The Bishop of peoples and mice
    Each person, his sibling
    Though Church mice, liked kibbling
But become bread, left to His device!

  8. When Pope John paul 2 held prayers at Assisi ,all the Crucifixes had to be removed ,or covered ,the Statue of Our Lady of Fatima was banned from the building ,and a Dominican monk who protested was arrested .the same thing happened in the Vatican when he held an evening of music for Jewish guests .There’s nothing wrong with people of different Faiths meeting for discussion and debate ,in a neutral place,in that way the Faith is not compromised and no scandal is caused ,one has to wonder if these Popes realise the total sense of betrayal that millions of Catholics feel when they see a golden statue of buddha on top of a Tabernacle and the Crucifix ,the sign of redemption been banished.

  9. Here’s what they’ll be saying…

I’m still praying…..It’s currently 12:15 pm Sunday where I live.

  10. From the Baltimore Catechism Revised Edition (1941) :

169b. “How does a baptized person separate himself from full incorporation in the Mystical Body”?
“A baptized person separates himself from full incorporation in the Mystical Body by open and deliberate heresy, apostasy or schism”.

169c. “How does a baptized person separate himself from full incorporation in the Mystical Body by heresy”?
“A baptized person separates himself from full incorporation in the Mystical Body by heresy when he openly rejects or doubts some doctrine proposed by the Catholic Church as a truth of divine-Catholic faith, though still professing himself a Christian”.

169d. “When does a baptized person separate himself from full incorporation in the Mystical Body by apostasy?
A baptized person separates himself from full incorporation in the Mystical Body by apostasy when he openly rejects the entire Christian faith”.

I’d say this applies to the clowns allowing this abomination to take place, especially at the Vatican on Pentecost Sunday! It makes no distinction between laity and clergy, though no one back then would ever think so many in the hierarchy would be promoting heresy and apostasy of the Catholic faith, especially the bishop of Rome.. The loss of the true Catholic faith keeps getting worse with every conciliar regime in Rome, and around the world.

  11. Josefa on said:

This from an article in the Los Angeles Times today:

“The event required delicate diplomacy. Francis admitted that he failed to host the meeting in the Holy Land, and the Vatican gardens were chosen because they were seen as the most neutral spot in the city-state, free of the Christian symbolism that could offend the other two faiths.”

    Mark 8:38
“For he that shall be ashamed of me, and of my words, in this adulterous and sinful generation: the Son of man also will be ashamed of him, when he shall come in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. “
