Father Violette’s Mom R.I.P.

Dear All,

Just a little note to ask for prayers for my mother who died on Tuesday May 6th, at the age of 88 and 1 day, after having been diagnosed with breast cancer last year. So it was not unexpected and really it is a grace and an answer to prayer, probably in more ways than one. She died peacefully on the 9th day of the novena of Masses I was offering for her having already received the sacraments and blessings of the Church.

We were praying it would not drag out because she didn’t want to go to the hospital and we didn’t want her to go to the hospital either. She wanted to die at the Precious Blood Residence the SSPX retirement home in Quebec, and God granted her wish. She began having problems breathing and my sister Lucie who was with her called the nurse in who said they might have to send her to the hospital. Lucie phone my brother, who was taking care of things, who said he would pray his Rosary for God to take care of it. In 5 minutes mother was gone. She just went out like a candle. Pray that our family profits from it. I have a few siblings who need to return to the Church and the sacraments. I am sure she offered part of her sufferings for her children. She gave 2 of them to God: one priest and one nun. I thank God for having given her to me for 58 years. God is good!

With the assurance of my prayers for you and yours,

FR VIOLETTE

  3. HolySouls

O most gentle Heart of Jesus, ever present in the Blessed Sacrament, ever consumed with burning love for the poor captive souls in Purgatory, have mercy on the soul of Thy departed servant. Be not severe in Thy judgments, but let some drops of Thy Precious Blood fall upon the devouring flames. And do Thou, O Merciful Savior, send Thy holy angels to conduct her to a place of refreshment, light, and peace. Amen.

  5. O gentlest Heart of Jesus, ever present in the Blessed Sacrament, ever consumed with burning love for the poor captive souls in Purgatory, have mercy on the soul of Thy handmaid. Be not severe in Thy judgments, but let some drops of Thy Precious Blood fall upon the devouring flames. And do Thou, O Merciful Savior, send Thy holy angels to conduct her to a place of refreshment, light, and peace. Amen.

Eterna; rest grant unto her, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.
