Prayer Request for Margaret

Please pray for Margaret, yet another family member, who is facing an extremely chancy eye operation on Monday. She may lose the sight of the subject eye if the procedure does not work out. She also has a dangerous allergic reaction to almost all common medical substances so that has heavily complicated the picture even more.

With sincere thanks for your charity.

  1. Saint Lucy

    Whose beautiful name signifies ‘LIGHT’

by the light of faith which God bestowed upon you

increase and preserve His light in my soul

so that I may avoid evil,

Be zealous in the performance of good works

and abhor nothing so much as the blindness and

the darkness of evil and sin.

Obtain for me, by your intercession with God

Perfect vision for my bodily eyes

and the grace to use them for God’s greater honour and glory

    and the salvation of souls.

    St. Lucy, virgin and martyr

hear my prayers and obtain my petitions.

    Amen.

  4. My thanks, friends.

No word from back in Buffalo, yet.

The surgery was scheduled for 7 am there.

  5. Update: My sister was sent home and is in level 10 pain at this time. Due to her other sensistivities (developed later in life as a result of a mandated inoculation) it seems to be the case that the usual short-term pain management Rx’s are not indicated and she has to tough this one out, completely unassisted.

With my thanks for your charity.

  6. REMEMBER, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy clemancy hear and answer me. Amen.

  8. More prayers coming. I hope she has enough help at home.

    Was this an outpatient procedure?

  9. Yes, she returned home yesterday after the procedure, in great pain but unable to use any medications, even for nausea.

This morning, upon returning to the eye center, the report I received indicated that the surgeon was satisfied with the drainage and reduction in pressure within the eye. He did state that it would be another two months of recuperation.

Again, sincere thanks to all for your charity.

  10. Has she tried ginger or mint for the nausea? One or the other usually helps with that at least.

    Will keep praying.

About a dozen years ago I had a sinus infection embed in my optic nerve. It was four months before my sight was back to normal. It’s not enjoyable, but you can use it for God’s glory or saving souls if you’re rightly disposed.
