My unwilling trip to Ronald Mc Donald house home of the happy meal

I dislike very much going to the N.O. mass, but sometimes I have to. Here is a brief summery: Beginning of Mass some of the children are brought up front to meet with their teacher, who parades them out in a line holding up a bible. I think these kids haven’t made their communion yet. Then there was a presentation of an infant. You then have the parade of readers and a sprinkling of protestant hymns. You then have the reading, by the priest of the Gospel:Twenty-ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time:Gospel Lk 18:1-8

Jesus told his disciples a parable about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary. He said, “There was a judge in a certain town who neither feared God nor respected any human being. And a widow in that town used to come to him and say, ‘Render a just decision for me against my adversary.’ For a long time the judge was unwilling, but eventually he thought, ‘While it is true that I neither fear God nor respect any human being, because this widow keeps bothering me I shall deliver a just decision for her lest she finally come and strike me.'” The Lord said, “Pay attention to what the dishonest judge says. Will not God then secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night? Will he be slow to answer them? I tell you, he will see to it that justice is done for them speedily. But when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?”
Explaining this he went on to say we need to pray to God and some people never give up examples Social Justice issues. His examples sounded like a push for Obama Care without mentioning it by name. Then after the consecration, in the middle of Mass he baptized the baby and when it came for the prayers the godparents were to say the whole church said them. Also when they had the presentation of the baby that is when he anointed it with oil. At the end of Mass (this is still considered part of the Mass) he calls up to the sacristy area any children that haven’t made there 1st Holy Communion for a little pep talk, sort of. I don’t consider this to have anything to do with mass so I usually leave. I would have left when it sounded like he was indirectly pushing Obama care but I was stuck in the middle of the pew :( .
Since when did Baptism stop being a separate sacrament?
“BUT WHEN THE SON OF MAN COMES, WILL HE FIND FAITH ON EARTH”……which by the way was never mentioned.
People say you can just say your rosary or some other prayers. I’ve tried but it is too noisy and distracting. I keep meaning to bring ear plugs with me.

  1. You never “have to” be in the presence of blasphemy and sacrilege. Just say “no” to the NO.
