Apologetics Professional Catholic Cruiser is Sinking

Edit: it’s not just the large salaries drawn by Catholic Apologists on staff as reported by Michael Voris recently.  Actually, we were surprised that Raymond Arroyo was only compensated with 100,000 a year, as compared to say, Bill Donahue’s 399,156, but it’s striking that Catholic Answers are so well compensated as Professional Catholics, despite the fact that they do so much to attack those who have legitimate grievances against the way the Church is run. But what’s really interesting is that Catholic Answers has cut wages as much as 25%. Could it be that they are still suffering from Pope Benedict’s Summorum Pontificum of 2007, which really put a dent in their credibility, as they were fairly hostile as a whole to such a movement? Louis Verrecchio takes them to task:

In a CA blog post, (which you are invited to read in full there), one of their staff apologists, Michelle Arnold (pictured above), attempts to dismiss concerns that the recent decree contradicts the provisions set forth in Summorm Pontificum as nothing more than a “freak out in cyberspace” on the part of those whose “tendency is to treat every development that is not 100 percent positive in favor of Traditionalism as if the sky was falling.”

Of course, these Professional Catholics do come to the aid of their own, as Neocon Fr. Dwight Longenecker makes a simpering assault on Voris’ recent attack. It’s not necessarily the fact that they are well compensated, but that they are compensated so well for being mercenaries. Longenecker asks what’s wrong with being a “Professional Catholic“. Actually, the Pope himself explained the harm done by such mercenaries: read more

Would Someone Please Hand the Pope a Bible? Oops! Forget it…

Vatican City, Jun 18, 2013 / 01:12 pm (CNA/EWTN News).- Christians are called to be evangelists, seeking out the sheep who are lost rather than staying at home tending to the few who have never left, Pope Francis said at the Vatican’s Paul VI Hall.

“It’s the 99 who we’re missing! We have to go out, we must go to them,” the Bishop of Rome said June 17 to the participants of the annual convention of the Diocese of Rome.

[ AHEM! EXCUSE ME…. “What man of you that hath an hundred sheep, and if he shall lose one of them, doth he not leave the ninety-nine in the desert and go after that which was lost, until he find it? (Lk 15, 4) ] read more

On the occasion of Eid-Al-Fitr, which marks the end of the month of Ramadan, Pope Francis, on July 10, 2013, personally signed the message which the Vatican addresses every year to the Muslims, as John Paul II had done in 1991. This message was made public on August 2, and on Sunday, August 11, during the Angelus on St. Peter’s Square, the Supreme Pontiff repeated: “I would like to greet the Muslims of the entire world, our brothers, who recently celebrated the end of the month of Ramadan.” read more

Must see video

vimeo.com/63749370

This video is from some christian sources. But it is a must see. One of the things that I found interesting (:30:21) was in talking about a book
“The Naked Communist” in that book there were a list of Goals. Goal # 27 was to infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “Social Religion”, discredit the bible. Also they supported feminism and sought to promote homosexuality.
According to the documentary they have achieved most of their goals.
My question is if it were proven that the Communist have infiltrated the church that the schools and churches are directly or indirectly implementing their policies what recourse is there if there is no response from our bishops or Rome?
Today when I hear the Bishops or even the Pope speak they sound to be very close to socialism. Most Catholics approve of birth control, IVF, same sex marriage and redistribution of wealth by social justice programs that the government is promoting.
Remember Bella Dodd. If the Feminization of the Liturgy the homosexual infiltration of the priesthood, the social justice theme of the church were brought about by this agenda yet there is no written heresy, what course would there be available to people?
Also Vat2 was the first time the church did not condemn communism read more

His relics, owing to the invasion of barbarians, were first brought from his own city into Sardinia, and afterwards taken by Luitprand, king of the Lombards, to Pavia, where they were deposited with due honours. read more

Meaness at a Funeral or was it?

So… a close relative just passed away this week, Please pray for him.

And then the messages started to come in from the Novus sector: Messages of ‘At least he is no longer suffering now that he is in Heaven.” Messages like “He’s now at peace.” “He’s watching over us.” “At least he doesn’t suffer any longer.” “Pray for the family left behind, not the one who died because he is now in a better place….?” I was also informed that the funeral service is to be a ‘Resurrection mass of celebration.” From their perspective these were words of kindness full of heart felt human sentiments devoid of anything unpleasant. How could they know that they cut me to the heart with pains unimaginable by their statements? read more
