Obama Calls For End to Catholic Education

June 19, 2013

The Catholic media is up in arms over comments President Obama made during a speech while in Northern Ireland for the G8 summit. Obama made what is described as “an alarming call for an end to Catholic education,” in spite of the fact that it is considered “a critical component of the Church.”

In front of an audience of about 2,000 young people, including many Catholics, Obama claimed that Catholic education divides people and blocks peace, according to the Scottish Catholic Observer.

“If towns remain divided—if Catholics have their schools and buildings and Protestants have theirs, if we can’t see ourselves in one another and fear or resentment are allowed to harden—that too encourages division and discourages cooperation,” Obama said.

  1. Obama is trying to do with Ireland what Presidents WIlson through Coolidge, with US bankers’ money and Trotskiite ideological assistance, did with Mexico in the first half of last century: forcefully try to wipe out Catholicism. It did not work out by force as first attempted because of the Cristero uprising.

I doubt that a similar uprising would occur in Ireland in the 21st Century. The failed Mexican and Spanish experiments to wipe out Catholicism by force convinced the world elites that it would be better to try a different approach, consisting of corrupting the local ruling elites first, then the bishops (with some help from Vatican II) and finally the masses, so that the faith be lost gradually, painlessly. and without firing a shot other than those fired by the resulting mafias. This latter approach is being followed very successfully in most European and Hispanic-american Catholic countries.

However, there remains a very small minority of conservative and traditional Catholics that keep and practice their Catholic faith. So, with Christ’s help, Catholicism will never completely disappear.
