The Usual Suspects Chime In On New Pope

Here’s the latest from that great friend of the Faith, UN SecGen Moon:

Ban Ki-moon, UN secretary-general, said he looked forward to co-operation with the Holy See under Pope Francis’ “wise leadership”.

He said: “We share many common goals – from the promotion of peace, social justice and human rights, to the eradication of poverty and hunger – all core elements of sustainable development.

“I am certain that His Holiness will continue to build on the legacy of his predecessor, Pope Benedict XVI, in the promotion of inter-faith dialogue which is at the heart of the Alliance of Civilisations initiative.”

  1. As for me and my house our life will not change one twit. I have been “excommunicated” or not in “full communion” most of my adult life and I do not believe we will be consigned to the depths of hell. I will pray for the Holy Father daily which is my duty. I feel badly for all the good Catholics that think that they need to leave their reason at the door when it comes to obedience.

  2. the priests of the parish wastelands will be going all goosebumpy with excitement – their mean masses, their love of other religions, their love of this world and lack of concern for the next – in short their lack of catholicism, back to stay. jpii part one was bad enough…surely there can’t really be a jpii part two.

  3. I’m going “glass half full” on this. Under Jorge the Awkward, the SSPX thrived in Argentina.
