Obama supporters seen influential on Al Smith dinner board

Jack Fowler of National Review believes that he has found a reason why President Barack Obama was invited to attend the annual Al Smith dinner. The dinner is sponsored by a foundation that raises funds for Catholic charities, and:
Turns out that many board members (former NBC boss Robert Wright, developer John Zuccotti, moneyman Peter Kiernan III) of the Smith Foundation are well-heeled, big-time supporters of pro-abortion Democratic lawmakers. This includes good old Al Smith IV, the foundation’s chairman.
