Jesuit university will continue contraceptive coverage
CWN – October 11, 2012
Reversing a policy announced earlier this year, a Jesuit university in Ohio has said that it will continue to provide coverage for contraception in its employees’ health-insurance plan.
Father Michael Graham, the president of Xavier University in Cincinnati, said that the school would continue its contraceptive coverage in light of the US Supreme Court decision upholding the Obama administration’s health-care reform. An earlier decision to drop coverage for contraception had prompted protests among the faculty and staff of the Jesuit university.
