Catholic College Hosts Pro-Abortion/Pro-Gay “Marriage” Pol to Talk Civility
The Joan B. Kroc Institute [the third and final wife/widow of McDonald's founder] for Peace & Justice at the University of San Diego will host a pro-abortion rights and pro-gay “marriage” politician to speak on “civility” in politics.
The “Restoring Respect’s Fall Breakfast to Promote Civility” on October 3 will feature Nathan Fletcher, California State Assemblyman and former San Diego Mayoral candidate.
The website for the event says “Fed up? Have uncivil campaigns and negative ads made you lose your appetite for politics? Come join the San Diego community for a breakfast to discuss and encourage civility in the fall 2012 local political campaigns.”
Fletcher’s mayoral campaign touted a 100 percent rating from Planned Parenthood, according to the Voice of San Diego.
Ironically, when Fletcher ran for mayor the local NBC affiliate wrote a piece about one of Fletcher’s ads entitled “Attack Season Starts Early in Mayor’s Race.” The story said Fletcher’s ad is a sign the race is “getting ugly.”
Fletcher is also reportedly a pro-gay “marriage” advocate who said he voted against Proposition 8 and promised to lead on that issue.
