Any negative report from the Vatican Commission on Medjugorje is absolutely out of the question, a well-informed source tells Medjugorje Today. The report that is now being finished will reflect that the experts have been working their way through an entirely positive material.
Medjugorje will get a thumbs up from the Vatican Commission of experts who have investigated the events in the village in western Hercegovina since March 2010, a source close to the investigation tells Medjugorje Today.
The Commission headed by Cardinal Camillo Ruini has found nothing negative. Quite on the contrary, the experts have only had very large measures of good things to go through, according to Medjugorje Today’s informations.
Medjugorje Today further learns that the Commission is now in the final stages of preparing its report to the Vatican Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith which will in turn report to Pope Benedict XVI, “if the report has not already been sent”.
This part of Medjugorje Today’s informations runs contrary to a Bosnian news report from earlier this month, stating that the investigation surely would not end this year, but would continue into 2013.
Even if the Commission’s report will be entirely positive, as stated matter-of-factly to Medjugorje Today, only very few people expect the Vatican to recognize the authenticity of the apparitions by a time when the visionaries say that they are still going on. Such an early recognition has never taken place in the history of The Catholic Church.
Aside of examining and interviewing the visionaries about their experiences, the Vatican Commission has further examined a host of other subjects like the general life of faith in Medjugorje. And even if the apparitions will not be officially recognized, and the issue of the authenticity will keep on being left pending, the Pope has other tools by means of which he can react to a positive report from the Commission.
The creation of a separate diocese for Medjugorje has previously been mentioned, and granting Medjugorje shrine status has also been mentioned as an option.

Well, if medjuwhacky central says it’s so, then it’s a done deal. No matter what happens. If it actually goes the other way, the devil did it. The gospa will then speak out, and history will repeat itself (recall that the gospa spoke against the bishop’s suspension of a medj priest!).
The creation of a separate diocese for Medjugorje has previously been mentioned, …
That what’s missing. The SSPX needs an apparition!
Oh, according to some, they’ve been getting just that! : – )
And, according to the “visions” ( or whatever! ), the SSPX is going to save the world ( or at least a few cantons in the Alps and, I think, some discrete section of Pismo Beach. )
Sure sounds on the up and up, doesn’t it?
It will be a sad day if Rome ‘kindof’ approves the Medj like they did with the NeoCat Way.
With my ‘culture’ glasses on I’ll be watching to see which way the Pope goes. Reason and logic say a condemnation should be forth coming.
In the days of Bl. PJP2, I would bet against a condemnation (unless Traddies started taking over the site).
In these days of BXVI, I would give 70% odds that no condemnation would be forth coming and 99% odds that any declaration will be confusing.
