Pennsylvania Catholic college will not permit student gay-lesbian group
CWN – August 09, 2012
Despite pressure from an online petition drive, a Pennsylvania Catholic college is remaining firm in its resolve not to recognize a student LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered) group.
“If we are staying true to the teachings of the Catholic faith, it would be hypocritical to allow a club that would celebrate a LGBT lifestyle,” said Jerry Joyce, vice president for student affairs at DeSales University.
