Hello everyone and welcome to The Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris coming to you from St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican.
In case you haven’t noticed … there’s a quiet scuttling job going on inside the Church of
Nice .. which by the way .. isn’t so nice.
Faithful orthodox Catholics .. those who accept everything the Church teaches and are
full support of the Pope and the Magisterium are under attack.
And these attacks are coming from their “TOLERANT” brothers and sisters who will be
tolerant of anything and almost everything it seems .. EXCEPT a traditional expression of
the faith.
Cardinal Raymond Burke noted as much recently during an interview where he said in
reference to the restoration of the traditional Latin Mass ..
“There’s no question that there remains in certain places a resistance to what the Holy
Father has asked, and that’s sad .. It’s sometimes even an expression of disagreement with
the Holy Father’s discipline and even an expression that this is harmful for the church.”
And there it is one brief statement .. His Eminence summed up the crux of the problem.
There are those in the Church .. and we aren’t just talking about the heretic nuns and gay
positive priests and bishops .. but those Catholic leaders who are PERCEIVED as
conservative .. who put up every obstacle imaginable to the advancement of the
Traditional Liturgy.
The question is why. It’s clear why heterodox and modernists would oppose it. What’s
not so clear is why the so-called “conservative” bunch would oppose it.
Let’s take a closer look at some of the so-called “conservatives” in the Church. It’s clear
from many decisions that are made .. as well as many that are not made .. that many of
the clerics in the Church today who are hailed as champions of the faith and conservative
to the core .. are .. well .. not so much.
Compared to the halcyon days of liberal triumph in the Church in the west .. the 1960s
through the 1990s .. they certainly APPEAR more conservative. And to be fair .. they
are.
But the problem is one of perspective .. of relation. COMPARED to the screaming
modernist heretics .. sure this latest crop of leaders is conservative.
BUT compared to the period prior to the 1960’s .. they are pretty darn liberal themselves.
There is a refusal to publicly condemn almost anything and certainly almost never any
ONE who denies Church teaching.
They have essentially abandoned anything in the Church that speaks of traditionalism and
embraced a host of ideologies and concepts which have caused great confusion among
the faithful and .. for which they will have to bear a large share of the responsibility ..
scattered the flock.
And this happened across every level of Church life .. from formation of seminarians to
policing theology .. to instruction of the faithful.
Here’s the bottom line for those who say they get sick of hearing all this doom and
gloom. Less than 10 percent of Catholics in the West believe and live the Catholic faith.
90 plus percent have given it up.
That is a crisis of indescribable proportion and the response of Church leadership in
diocese after diocese .. in the United States and Europe barely registers a pulse. Why?
Are the leaders evil Satanists in disguise who gather in secret coven plotting the next
attack on the faith? Well we certainly hope not.
Perhaps the best place to look for the answer is the experience of the leaders themselves.
If you allow that the average bishop today at the head of a diocese is in his mid-sixties or
so .. and he was ordained a priest around 40 years ago .. that would mean that such a man
grew up in the Church of the late 1960’s and early 1970’s.
He would have been in seminary just as the storm of chaos and darkness engulfed
seminaries .. religious life .. and parish life. It was the exact moment that ANYTHING
and EVERYTHING that spoke of Tradition was being thrown out .. denigrated .. and
tossed on to the fire .. literally in many cases.
What was in vogue then was change for the sake of change. The same winds which
howled through the society at large also blew strongly through the Church. Today’s
bishops were young seminarians or baby priests and this was their experience.
All that was old was bad .. and all that was new was right. The poison of the so-called
“Spirit of Vatican II” filled the air and soon filled the lungs of nearly all churchmen. In
short .. many of today’s bishops are victims of their circumstances and have been held
hostage by their experiences.
This would explain why they have such an automatic .. knee-jerk .. almost default
position against anything that even whiffs of Traditional Catholicism.
A story came to us just recently that a young man just ordained in one of America’s most
prominent diocese .. was jumped all over by his very well known “conservative” bishop
for celebrating a Latin Mass. Why?
Is the Mass not valid? Is it sacrilegious? Does it serve to destroy the faith of those in
attendance? No. But it does rub against the vision that this bishop has of the Church .. a
Church where we don’t talk about sin and evil and heaven and hell and salvation and
damnation.
This is the latest PR effort coming from the bishops who were trained as priests and grew
up as young impressionable men in world starting to go mad .. to talk about joy and fun
and hand-holding.
Never to mention the realities of the four last things .. death judgment heaven and hell. If
it seems like a different Church than before many of these men were born .. it’s because ..
in a certain sense .. it is.
And what’s important to remember is this .. they were the first victims of the disorder that
gripped so many quarters of the Church .. that generation of today’s 60-somethings. They
were re-wired in the 60 and 70’s to reject much of the Church of their parents.
Wouldn’t it be an interesting conversation to eaves drop on between many of today’s
bishops and their mothers and grandmothers? How would they answer their relatives’
questions about why so few Catholics go to Mass and even less to Confession.
What would they say to mom or grandma about why they so seldom if ever warn about
sexual morality or the reality of Hell and the need for grace. After all .. its almost a
certainty that their mothers and grandmothers would remind them that this is what THEY
taught them when they were young boys and were encouraging them to the priesthood.
What would they reply indeed? It’s a good question. Why do they so strongly oppose
and try to squash the Mass and tradition that their own mothers and grandmothers so
dearly loved.
GOD Love you,
I’m Michael Voris

Very Good! But even these Bishops can see that they are losing people and closing churches. I think many have lost the faith but enjoy the title.
