Hello everyone and welcome to The Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris.
Not much to report on today .. but a LOT to conjecture about. A storm .. a big nor’easter
is brewing in NYC and it promises to be a gully washer.
This woman .. Christine Quinn may very well be the next mayor of New York City when
current mayor Michael Bloomberg is termed out in 2013.
She is the current speaker of the NY City Council and the New York Post recently rated
her the third most powerful woman in New York .. right behind Hilary Clinton and then
Diane Sawyer from ABC News.
So why do we care about her? Because the 45 year old is also an open lesbian who is out
and proud and is also a professed Catholic.
A few weeks back .. she “married” her longtime lover girlfriend Kim Catullo in
Manhattan’s meatpacking district and other professed Catholic Mario Cuomo was in
attendance .. no doubt with his adulteress gal pal.
Her “wedding” was attended by 300 other guests which basically constituted the glitterati
of the NY political scene. She is everyone’s bet to be the next mayor and is currently 20
points ahead of her nearest competitor.
In NY politics that means .. in plain english .. she’s the next mayor.
So again .. why do we care .. because all eyes will suddenly shift to this man .. New
York’s Cardinal Timothy Dolan who will now have the embarrassing rift of questions
hurled his way about her honor’s contradictory stand between being openly gay AND a
good Catholic.
The question for His Eminence that will soon come into focus next year will be this –
Your Eminence, are you going to withhold Holy Communion from a braggadocio lesbian
Catholic who happens to be mayor while all the time openly proclaiming that the Church
is wrong, she is right and no one in the Church is gonna tell HER what to do?
After all, it is HER faith. Just ask her .. which of course a National Public Radio reporter
did in a long and winding interview.

In the interview .. when asked about her lesbianism and Catholic faith .. she says ..
“It’s my church. They’re the ones who have the wrong perspective. I’m not going to leave.

If I leave, it’s as if they won. I’m going to go into any church any time I want to,
whenever I want to. It’s my church. And no one’s ever asked me to and no one ever will.”
So before even being sworn in as Mayor, Quinn has already thrown down the gauntlet at
the feet of Cardinal Dolan.
Her honor is gonna walk right up that aisle on Sunday after Sunday and stick out her
hands and demand the Body of Christ because .. after all it is HER church and no one is
gonna tell her no.
And the person who has the responsibility to tell her NO is going to suddenly find
himself under the white hot light at center stage as everyone waits to see who will win the
battle .. the Mayor or the Cardinal.
No one in the Church will be able to take a pass in this one. It will be center stage every
week. New York is the media capital of the world.
There are hundreds of cameras .. thousands of microphones and just as many reporters
waiting to bash the Church for either being mean and medieval or being a paper tiger that
doesn’t even support its own teachings and will be denounced for being hypocritical.
Nope. No getting around this train wreck which you can already hear barreling down the
tracks. The Cardinal is duty bound to instruct this woman in the faith .. and if after such
instruction if she remains obstinate in her open homosexuality .. he must refuse her
admittance to Holy Communion .. Canon 915 by the way in the Code of Canon Law as
Cardinal Raymond Burke has stressed to the point of exhaustion.
He must deny her Holy Communion for the simple reasons that she continues to endanger
her soul by sacrilege and she gives scandal to the faithful by being allowed to flaunt the
teachings of the Church so openly.
The Cardinal took some heat for his somewhat lackluster defense of traditional marriage
last year as New York lawmakers led by Catholic governor Andrew Cuomo led the
charge to equate sodomy with marriage.
He later said in an interview that he and others in the Church received poor counsel from
their political experts and followed their poor advice. In short .. they got blindsided and
hood winked.
Well .. no blind side on this one. This Catholic lesbian has openly told the world the
Church is wrong .. she is right and just let them try and do anything about it.
How it turns out no one knows yet .. at least for absolute certain .. although a few people
have a good guess .. but one thing that wont fly is the line that .. we got bad advice and
didn’t see it coming. Not this time.
It might be worthwhile to send a word of encouragement to Cardinal Dolan .. not to
mention some prayers for the courage that he do the right thing.
