‘Raised under the GLBT umbrella’

Dawn Stefanowicz, a Canadian author raised by an actively homosexual father, discussed her experiences in a recent interview with Catholic World Report.
“Our identity, security, and sense of personal ancestry come from knowing our mother and father; this is lost in homosexual unions,” says Stefanowicz, author of Out From Under: The Impact of Homosexual Parenting.
“Every kid wants to be raised by biological parents who are faithful to one another,” she adds. “They do not want the huge stress of growing up with parents who put their sexual preferences first. For three decades of my life I saw my father pursue one relationship after another. That was his priority. A child cannot have his relational and spiritual needs met in such an environment.”
