Catholic Church in Croatia: More [Government] Ministers at Gay Pride [Parade] than at Statehood Day Mass

The Catholic church in Croatia has attacked the countries politicians on the nations Statehood Day, saying that more Ministers attended the recent Gay Pride parade than attended the church mass service to mark Croatia’s declearation of independence on Monday.
Croatia’s President Ivo Josipovic and Vice President of the Parliament Josip Leko attended the church service on Statehood Day, but there was a noteable absence of Ministers at the service and that upset the heirachy of the Catholic church.
In his sermon, Cardinal Josip Bozanic gave special mention to the connection between patriotism and Catholicism in Croatia, and wondered how politicians could walk past the church every day yet pass laws that imposes on the foundations of human existence.
The Ministers absence at the church service, has upset the church with some priests commenting how there were more ministers at the recent Gay Pride than at mass, reported daily newspaper Jutarnji list.
